Robust master data is a key ingredient to successful integrated global businesses and supply chains. Join our Material Master Data team and be part of an exciting transformation journey in making Maersk the global integrator of container logistics.
In this role, you will be reporting to the manager of Material Master Data and Billing & Invoicing Data, and you will be joining a team of Functional Product Owners accountable for designing, developing, implementing & optimizing material and invoicing customer data management solutions.
You will work closely with E2E cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and you will gain a holistic E2E view of the business, with the opportunity to generate value across Maersk and its entities, and platforms and processes with material master data being one of the backbone components connecting the business value chain.
Key areas of responsibility
- Design and drive Materials Master Data product vision, managing the roadmap, E2E processes, SOPs, and governance controls and measurable outcomes in line with the organization's vision.
- Continuously review and upkeep the E2E process maps for Materials Master Data and B&I Party data to accurately capture related activities.
- Coordinate with business and platform product owners across Ocean and LnS teams on the creation, management, and consumption of new and existing material codes.
- Play an active role as the master data owner to drive data quality and compliance for Materials and B&I Party data.
- Find opportunities for automation in relevant processes to promote data quality and governance/compliance aspects.
- Provide guidance in ongoing projects on processes impacting Materials Master Data and B&I Party data, to ensure there is understanding of related requirements or advice to avoid unexpected or unwanted outcomes and to prevent data issues later.
- Provide training and communication on new process developments and policy implementations.
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2+ years experience in a global multinational organization in Shipping, Logistics and Supply, or related industries.
You have a strong understanding of master data management. You are obsessed with processes, with a desire to drive for automation and standardization. As an individual, you are a motivated self-starter, comfortable with being given a high level of autonomy to drive initiatives from concept to completion, whilst also being a team player.
Critical Competencies:
- Experience with identifying, developing and communicating a clear product/project vision, strategy and roadmap aligned with business goals.
- Excellent communication skills and can effectively engage and collaborate with stakeholders and partners to drive alignment and achieve goals in a matrix organization.
- Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative data analysis to make informed decisions, prioritize features, and measure performance.
- Ability to manage and influence cross-functional and remote project teams.
- Resilience to change with fast-shifting priorities, workloads and responsibilities, with the ability to manage uncertainties.
- Proactiveness in innovative and creative problem-solving skills.
