About the department The GMA Executive Office is anchored in the Development organisation and is located in Søborg, Denmark. The GMA Executive Office is supporting the senior leadership team in GMA. The GMA area is responsible for delivering timely and impactful communication about Novo Nordisk’s research activities to our external stakeholders, and for providing external medical input to our colleagues across the organisation. You will become part of a team of 9 dedicated individuals with the main aim of ensuring a close link between the strategic processes, from finance, performance management, and communication on behalf of and in close collaboration with the leadership team. The position
You will be responsible for setting direction for how the Senior Vice President area should develop, implement, and execute its strategic processes and do project management. You will do this via driving the area’s strategic processes, keeping oversight and tracking progression of strategic projects, and project managing selected projects. You will be managing the strategic processes and its different elements, meaning you will develop the concept and process, facilitate management discussions, do thorough planning and preparation for implementation, and finally deliver an output in the right quality at the right time. From time to time the role will require a need for quantitative or qualitative analysis, and this should be something you excel at too. It will be key to ensure the strategic processes are aligned with the overarching strategies in Novo Nordisk, while making it tangible and translated into content for management discussion and eventually decision making. The position provides a high level of visibility, accountability, and hands-on interaction with the senior leadership team; however, it is essential that you can navigate a broad range of stakeholders – from senior leaders to individual contributors and specialists across professional disciplines in the area and across Development and Novo Nordisk.
Qualifications
A successful candidate needs to bring the following: Master’s degree with excellent results, coupled with +5 years of experience working with strategy in an international organisation or as a strategy consultant Track record of handling complex projects and doing process optimisation Solid experience using and applying classic project management tools, both to set the strategic direction and for execution Strong problem-solving skills and are curious and passionate about improvements and continually identifying opportunities for development of the organisation Flair for integrating communication and change management perspectives into any project execution Communicate effortlessly in English, both verbally and in writing
As a person, you have a high level of drive, initiative and persistence and you are results oriented. You are ambitious and like to be challenged, and we expect you to be analytical and comfortable setting a direction. Your strong interpersonal skills assist you in creating trustful relations across different professions, teams, and cultures, and help you drive projects to fruitful solutions.
