DFDS is looking for our newest Group Sales Specialist for our Oslo-Frederikshavn-Copenhagen route, based at our headoffice in Copenhagen.

Are you a good salesman, as well as a great administrator? Then this is the perfect position for you.

As a Group Sales Specialist, you are responsible for making travel offers and subsequent bookings for our conference and private group customers on our Oslo-Frederikshavn-Copenhagen route. The team look after our customers from start to end so a keen eye for detail, friendly persona and a can-do attitude is very important.

You will be part of a highly skilled and very positive work environment with colleagues based in Copenhagen & Oslo, being able to cooperate across borders and define your own workday. You will refer to the Group Sales Manager located in the Copenhagen office.

Some Of Your Key Responsibilities Would Be



  • Establishing customer needs, creating offers and making group reservations and enquiries for our MICE and party group customers with primary route focus on Oslo-Frederikshavn-Copenhagen and secondary on other DFDS routes.
  • Ensuring all offers are logged and managed and CRM is used according to the Global Sales unified standards and processes.
  • Efficiently handling back-office tasks including booking adjustments, catering arrangements with the vessels, manifest entries, payments and finalising of bookings.
  • Ensuring the correct pricing is applied in line with the customer agreement and/or pricing matrix.
  • Handling customer requests, always ensuring that the Key Account Managers are aware and leading the commercial relationship if applicable.
  • Delivering a great start-to-end customer experience for our customers.
  • Supporting the delivery of agreed targets and KPI’s.
  • Ambassador for DFDS (follow the brand and tone of voice).
  • Close collaboration particularly with colleagues within Sales Operations and the wider Field Sales team as well as other stakeholders including finance, product and revenue management.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge incl. products portfolios, vessels, internal systems, digital processes, and web developments.
  • Build excellent relationships with customers, internal stakeholders and partners.
  • Ensure the ‘one team’ mindset to support the wider tasks in the Sales Operation team in times of high volume.
  • Participate in ship meetings, tours of vessels and key agent review meetings as appropriate.
  • Ensure contact with customers in periods of TIP situations and provide adequate guidance and support.

  • Travel or hotel industry experience preferred but not essential.
  • Team player.
  • Fluent Norwegian/Danish and English language essential
  • Structured way of working with good planning and excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a global cross-functional environment.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Willingness and ability to be agile, flexible and self-motivated.
  • Prefers to act rather than react.
