Denmark – Bagsværd Do you want to play an essential role of ensuring Novo Nordisk is ready for the new Environmental reporting requirements? Do you have a passion for driving data and analytics within sustainability and at the same time ensuring accountability? Do you strive for excellence and at the same time not afraid to embark on a data and analytics journey ‘into uncharted territory’? If so, then you might be our new CSRD Reporting and Data analyst working as part of the Data and Analytics team of Environmental and Social Sustainability (ESS) at Novo Nordisk. The position We offer an existing and challenging role where you will play a significant role in ensuring high quality future CSRD reporting, hereby positioning Novo Nordisk as a sustainability leader among investors, regulators and other external stakeholders. A specific focus will be to merge, build and secure proper data governance following the guidelines and requirements stated in the CSRD. As part of the Data and Analytics team, your main responsibilities will be to:
  • Deliver Reporting metrics and design as well as bringing data analytics support within the newly formed PSQIT CSRD and EU Taxonomy programme with specific focus aimed on;
    • E3 Water and water re-use; Scaling and supporting SMEs delivering data and insights
    • E5 Waste stream and Circularity; Preparing data reporting from existing Scope 1 and 2 system

  • Consolidate a clear link with the Environmental Data lead in the team to secure a solid data pipeline into the Environmental Sustainability data and reporting hub
  • Support the Product supply (PSQIT) E-reporting team, ensuring a fit-for-purpose translation of the aforementioned environmental data metrics for the Annual report, external quarterly company announcements and internal reporting to executive management and other stakeholders
  • Secure and support audit readiness of CSRD data and liaise with internal and external auditors
  • A benefit but not necessity to be familiar with CSRD, EU Taxonomy, Circular economy, etc.
  • Qualifications The E-reporting landscape and regulatory space is currently undergoing a revolution – where new requirements such as the CSRD and EU Taxonomy are being introduced. To succeed in this position, you must thrive in a high pace environment, where things are anything but a steady state and especially where no to little guidance is available. The right candidate should have the following skills:
  • A master’s degree related to Water or Waste Engineering with a flair (interest for) Data analytics and/or Data science or vice versa
  • You are eager to learn and set direction in a data and analytics setting where you will have the expert knowledge on Waste, Water, CSRD E3 and E5 metrics, or dislike
  • Have experience working with environmental sustainability, ESG reporting or reporting directives (i.e. CSRD, EU Taxonomy, GHG protocol, SBTi, GLEC, etc.) preferably from a pharmaceutical perspective
  • You can deliver high value impact and are able to keep a holistic view whilst at the same can work deeply into the substance
  • A benefit but not necessity to be familiar with EU Reach, Substances of very high concern (and substances of concern) and SAP
  • As a person we are looking for someone who enjoys being part of a fast-paced homogenous team and at the same time can work with a high degree of independence. You are not afraid of trying new ways and walking into uncharted territory. Someone who is proactive and a team player and take pride in collaborating with other people in the organisation. Finally, you have an outgoing personality and strong communication skills, both oral and written English, the ideal candidate excels at building and maintaining strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across different functions to drive change and reduce environmental impact. About the department The ESS Data and Analytics team is part of the Environmental & Social Sustainability department and is anchored within the Product Supply, Quality and IT organisation of Novo Nordisk. The team has embarked on the journey of reducing the environmental footprint by using data and digital solutions to support decisions. The team is among other things responsible for the reporting of energy, water, waste and CO2 emissions from Production and distribution as well as developing state-of-the-art solutions to support therein. The team consists of highly skilled data analysts and scientists as well as business analysts who drive data analysis, insights and intelligence on the environmental sustainability agenda for our expanding production sites. The Team is currently consisting of 9 people in HQ Bagsværd and 3 colleagues in Bangalore, India. We work closely with stakeholders across Novo Nordisk to implement the Circular for Zero environmental strategy into Novo Nordisk production thus supporting our overall ambition to have zero environmental impact.
