The position As (Senior) Category Manager Devices and Needles, you will secure supply availability of all device platforms used across all therapeutical areas in Novo Nordisk. Specifically, you will be strategically responsible for the sourcing strategies and activities for all incoming supply related to the pre-filled device platforms. This responsibility entails: Developing category related market insights with the purpose of identifying trends and dynamics to ensure that relevant sourcing opportunities and risks are identified and acted upon. Ensuring development and ownership of the device sourcing strategies depicting the strategic direction for how to secure supply both short term and long term. Sourcing and contracting of items within own category used by Novo Nordisk manufacturing to enable availability of such, in accordance with Novo Nordisk defined requirements at the right time, in the right quality and at competitive terms. Ensuring relevant sourcing advise to support Novo Nordisk innovation and decision making with a time horizon of up to 10 years. Able to influence and support informed decision-making at all levels of the organisation through clear recommendations based on sourcing strategies and solid analyses of markets, suppliers, competitors etc. On top of that, you will build strategic collaboration at all times with key suppliers and stakeholders. The majority part of the job is conducted out of HQ in Denmark. However, as the suppliers are located both all over the world travel activities can be expected. (approx. 20-30 days yearly). Qualifications To be considered for this position, we expect you to: Hold a master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field e.g., supply chain, procurement, business, or engineering. Have minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience from working with e.g. procurement project management, sourcing, category management, supply chain or business development within procurement in an international organization or a consulting company. Be fluent in English, both written and spoken. Possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of numbers. You have a strategic mind-set and an ability to quickly understand different business models and industry dynamics. You can put strategy into action by breaking the bigger picture down into specific supply chain related decisions. Additionally, you enjoy working in a multicultural and high-pace environment and bring a ‘can-do attitude’, and a healthy sense of humor to your work also when under pressure. About the department

We are responsible for ensuring that we have suppliers in place that can support Novo Nordisk’s worldwide pharmaceutical production. Through collaboration with our international suppliers, we ensure availability of the supply needed to develop and produce products that helps millions of people around the world to live with chronic conditions. You will be part of a diverse department that ensures global supply of Devices and needles across Novo Nordisk network.
