The position You will report to the Head of Sourcing & Alliance Management and work in close collaboration with a high number of internal and external stakeholders. Further, you will be part of a strong team of highly experienced individuals within Sourcing, Alliance Management, and Legal. Your primary responsibilities: Focus on sourcing external solutions by identifying, evaluating, negotiating, and establishing strategic and long-term alliances as well as partnerships with key partners and suppliers Ensure anchoring into our DDS Sourcing Strategy and our overall strategic priorities for DDS Continuously guarantee compliance with Novo Nordisk processes, structures, and key requirements whether quality-related, regulatory, business ethical, or other Support and over time build and implement strong governance for all external suppliers and partnerships and ensure anchoring in our existing governance models Contribute to risk assessment & mitigation and participate in occasional due diligence processes To succeed you must be ready to learn, build competences, and network. A key task is to ensure strong alignment with a complex landscape of stakeholders across DDS, Development, Research & Early Development, Product Supply, Commercial, Quality, Finance & Corporate Legal to guarantee that alliances and partnerships are optimally managed and offer maximal realisation of value. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have a balanced profile of: Relevant master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant hands-on experience from an international medical device or pharma company Some experience with strategic value-based sourcing, alliance, and contract management combined with strong negotiation skills is required Preferably, experience in working with medical device development Experience and skilled in working in a complex and international stakeholder environment Some experience in impacting decision-making through clear recommendations anchored in solid data, relevant analysis, and assessments Danish is not a pre-requisite, however English is required at a professional level, written, and spoken As a person, you are supportive, accountable, collaborating, flexible and have excellent interpersonal skills enabling you to build trusting relationships in a cross-cultural and international setting across areas and organizational levels. You have some commercial and financial understanding. You are a good communicator with the ability to consolidate and convey complex information. Furthermore, you work well in a team as well as autonomously and have a good and balanced sense of urgency and a positive mindset. About the department DDS Sourcing & Alliance Management is a part of DDS Strategic Development. Our base is in Hillerød and we work with a high degree of flexibility. The Strategic Development Area is responsible for strategy development and execution across the DDS SVP area with around 400 employees. We drive strategy development and strategy execution through strategic resource allocation, portfolio management, communication and external scouting, sourcing, and alliance management. The Sourcing & Alliance Management department has two main areas of responsibility. Firstly, the unit is responsible for search and evaluation of innovative external partnerships scoped for devices and delivery solutions including Software as Medical Devices (SaMD). Secondly, the unit is responsible for the management, the processes and the structures securing value adding and trusting alliances and partnerships.
