The position As our new Associate Manager, you will head up one of our analytical teams. We are looking for two new associate managers to our department consisting of four teams in total. Our chromatography team consists of 12 chemists and technicians. The team is responsible for developing and implementing chromatographic methods. We support with OOS investigations, deviations, and issues related to equipment and methods. Our ICP & Quality team consists of 11 employees and is a good mix between chemists, technicians, student assistants and administrative personel. The team performs ICP analysis of all excipients, drug Substances and drug products in Novo Nordisk that are included in the periodic monitoring programme for Elemental Impurities. Furthermore, the team performs release testing (QC responsible) for excipients and raw materials and also support the rest of Novo Nordisk in deviations and issues related to metal impurities. The team also covers our Quality group making sure that we operate at the right GMP level, have the right training setup and are ready for inspection. Your main tasks will be to: • ensure that you and your team, in close collaboration with our stakeholders, create standard processes for the different activities. • make sure that the team works focused on continuous improvements and innovative solutions in line with our business strategy. • be responsible for the team’s performance and for ensuring that the activities are planned, timely completed, and in compliance with GMP and corporate standards. • follow up on the team’s performance, well-being and development. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you: • Have leadership experience and a strong interest in people development. • Hold a degree in science or similar, supplemented with experience with GMP. • Have a structured approach to your work, can set the scene, and give direction. • Are enthusiastic, open-minded, and a good communicator by nature. • Are fluent in both spoken and written English. About the department You will join Material Manufacturing Development Analytical Chemistry in Product Supply, Sourcing Operations, responsible for developing and supporting raw materials from late phase development to marketed production. The department consists of 45 employees organised in four teams. As a Material ManDev department we are cooperating with a variety of functions, including development, QC, IT, QA, various Novo Nordisk production sites, and external contract manufactures.
