With direct reference to the Director of Supply Chain Optimisation you will be responsible for running improvement projects, carrying out analyses, and delivering solutions to support the optimisation of the clinical supply chain. Furthermore, you will: interact with people both within our department and across CS to scope the assignments and collect information and data be responsible for presenting your deliverables in an easily understandable way to project owners and management, and you will ensure anchoring of the results in the organisation Our projects and tasks vary over time and cover analyses of pipeline data, improvement projects within digitalisation, processes optimisation and IT development in CS, as well as business cases, KPIs and other ad hoc tasks. Qualifications You have approximately +5 years of experience within Supply Chain Management and understand how uncertainty and complexity affect the supply chain. You hold a Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Engineering or similar and have some years of relevant experience. Your experiences include: Managing and executing smaller projects Process improvements Strong analytical skills with a natural ability of using data in a business context Strong presentation and communication skills Proficiency in a Scandinavian language as well as English Ideally, you come from a life sciences/pharma company, but we are open to candidates with exciting supply chain experience from other industries e.g., production, consultancy etc. As a person you work independently with a natural drive to move things forward and without letting minor unknowns get in the way of the progress. As a person you are easy to work with and you thrive from working at all levels of the organisation. To succeed in this position, you possess persistence and strong communication skills that ensure the anchoring of your results in the organisation. You are familiar with and understand the demand and nature of project work, and the importance of delivering the right quality at the right time. About the department Before drug is approved for market use, drug candidates are tested in clinical trials. Clinical Supplies is responsible for delivering drugs for Novo Nordisk’s clinical trials around the world. Our tasks range from receival of the clinical protocol to final delivery of clinical product at site, which include planning, drug product filling, labelling, packaging and shipping of product. Hence, our processes include many different steps and hand overs. Supply Chain Optimisation is a department of 20 colleagues, who work across Clinical Supplies and with direct link to management. We are divided in Business Development and IT Development. Our role is to carry out strategic initiatives optimising the clinical supply chain. Our way of working is informal and ambitious at the same time. We work in close cooperation with Line of Business. We are responsible for optimisation of the clinical supply chain, and our focus is lead time reduction and productivity and agility improvements. In recent years, many improvement projects and initiatives have been carried out. The main focus has been automation and digitalisation, and our ambition is to become fully digitalised.
