Apply today and join us for a life-changing career. About the department Global Public Affairs & Patient Relations (GPAPR) is part of the Global Public Affairs & Sustainability area in Novo Nordisk. We aspire to be a proactive and solutions-oriented partner to patients and policymakers in the joint ambition to raise the standards of care in our therapy areas and help solve society’s fundamental challenges. The Position In this job you will be responsible for developing and driving our global Diabetes policy and strategy. A very high degree of independent decision-making and strategic thinking is required in this position, as well as the ability to effectively manage teams and drive alignment across functions. You will lead a smaller team of passionate and ambitious professionals based in Bagsværd, Denmark, and report to the Vice President of Global Public Affairs & Patient Relations. The key responsibilities are: Responsible for driving the strategic direction of Novo Nordisk’s global approach to Diabetes policy
Responsible for driving excellence and capabilities in diabetes government affairs globally
Responsible for overseeing the Global Public Affairs Team’s Diabetes work in four areas: Policy, Digital, Patient Relations, and Partnerships & Thought Leadership
Internal & External stakeholder relations
Qualifications The preferred candidate has: Master level degree in Political science, International Relations, Public Affairs, Journalism, Public Relations or Communications 10+ years’ experience and a proven track record in working in driving results, driving Regional or Global Strategies, Public Affairs expertise, and team management Experience working in the area of diabetes is preferred You are a strong strategic thinker who can create engagement and followership and you possess a proven track record in building credibility with external and internal stakeholders at all levels On a personal level you are: Outgoing and proactive Result-oriented Excellent communicator with advanced spoken and written English And furthermore, you have: The ability to manage complex projects/issues Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent ability to network Thorough business understanding Working at Novo Nordisk

- Responsible for the implementation of the global public affairs diabetes strategy.
- Support the recognition of the need for a holistic approach to diabetes management, and support key countries in local initiatives
- Ensur e close alignment with relevant commercial teams
- Ensure agility in cross-functional alignment on diabetes PA workstreams
- Provide input into launch planning in Top 10 Markets to ensure timely PA planning to support patient access in collaboration with key accounts
- Management of budget for Diabetes Public Affairs activities
- Managem e nt of team of 2 direct reports: Professional development reviews, providing regular feedback, reviewing and approving work products
- Represent Novo Nordisk towards stakeholders at international level (attendance of relevant events and meetings)
- Build, develop and maintain good relations with key opinion leaders, industry peers, scientific societies and patient associations
- Provide regular updates to high level internal stakeholders on diabetes public affairs progress and milestones
