The position As Associate Compliance Manager you will be responsible for maintaining and improving compliance with Business Ethics and Personal Data Protection (GDPR) in Corporate Procurement. You will also be supporting on quality and regulatory requirements. In close collaboration with our global colleagues, you will ensure that our 60,000 suppliers are in compliance with our standards. In addition, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of tasks and develop your interpersonal and project skills. These could include supporting capability building activities, communication efforts, or other activities within the team. You will become part of a skilled, dynamic, and sociable team, in a diverse and global organisation – and you will have a great degree of influence on how your job and tasks evolve. Your responsibilities will include: Serve as the main point of contact for the local organisation for business ethics and data protection matters Ensure appropriate training and communication to the organisation Support with various business ethics and data protection related vendor assessments Maintain data mapping, risk overviews and mitigation plans Review and negotiate contracts with suppliers for compliance topics Supporting on quality and regulatory requirements for selected suppliers Other ad hoc tasks to support the department Qualifications We expect you to have 1-2 years or more of experience in working with law or compliance in an international company, law firm, consultancy. You have graduated with a master’s degree (e.g. M.Sc. LL.M. or MBA) with a top 20% GPA. You set high professional expectations to yourself and others and have a strong compliance mindset. You are an effective executer with a structured working habit and have good interpersonal skills, are capable of facilitating challenging stakeholders in a professional, convincing and solution-oriented manner. You solve challenges with fact-based analytics, through team-based problem solving and with a clear understanding of direction and end products. About the department We are 140 employees in Denmark and India, and globally more than 500 people work in procurement throughout the organisation. Procurement is Novo Nordisk’s centre of excellence for category strategies, supplier agreements and purchasing processes. We negotiate contracts covering more than DKK 25 billion of Novo Nordisk’s spend. We also define and drive Novo Nordisk’s global procurement strategy, we set the global direction for best procurement practices, and we drive several digitalisation projects across global procurement. From a sustainability standpoint, we work directly with suppliers to address environmental impact and drive change to reach our ambitious 2030 goal of relying on all supply to be 100% based on renewable energy.
