In Biotech and Rare Disease (BRD) in Gentofte, we are looking for a Student Assistant for our digital twin team. Apply now and join us! The position We are looking for a student developer to join our team for various capacity simulation projects. The team is currently made up of three developers, working in various software, led by a project manager and a tech lead. We are looking for a student assistant to work primarily in close contact with one of our developers. You will be developing and performing data analyses with capacity simulations, using primarily flow-sheet modelling software developed by external vendors. It is a relatively new team and a new initiative in BRD; you will therefore have the opportunity to join the team at the ground level and help shape the project. Qualifications You are currently enrolled or about to begin a Master’s degree in the field of Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Management, Mathematical Modelling, Optimization, Supply Chain and/or Data Analysis.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming in a major programming language
  • Familiar with biopharmaceutical production processes or are excited to learn more
  • Self-starter and able to drive solutions from idea to implementation
  • Natural ability to work closely with others while being able to dive into the details, learn new processes, and deliver quality models
  • Communication and presentation skills (verbally and in writing)
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is required (our working language is English, and thus knowledge of Danish is not required but can be helpful in some cases)
  • As a person, you are well-structured and able to plan your work to keep your deadlines, while have a keen eye for details and can see potential flaws. Experience with Python and SQL for data manipulation, modelling and scripting is preferable, and experience in flow-sheet modelling using e.g., Inosim is considered an advantage. About the department You will be part of the Biotech and Rare Disease Advanced Analytics department within our Manufacturing Development area. The main responsibilities of the department are supporting and optimizing all parts of the production using automation, data, and lean, from the manufacturing of active pharmaceutical ingredients all the way to finished products. We are currently on a journey towards becoming an even more data-driven and automated organisation. The department is a diverse group of programmers, robotics engineers, data engineers, and project managers, as well as many other student assistants and student interns supporting the manufacturing of BRD products.
