The position
As Senior Director and Head of Trial Operational Insights, you will become overall responsible for a suite of digital products leveraging our high ambitions of enabling data-driven decision-making from trial design to closure. You will take over the responsibility for both existing solutions needing either to be updated or replaced as well as the discovery of novel solutions to fulfill the vision.
In a complex stakeholder landscape, you will provide clarity for the direction of the product suite by interacting with many different parts of the global organisation. Together with colleagues across development and our Data, Digital and IT (DD&IT) organization, ensure that the products are built on a solid technical and data foundation and common ontology. Furthermore, you will guarantee that not only are data presented in an intuitive and tailored way but also that internal and external data assets together with advanced analytics, machine learning, and large language models are applied to provide the best insights and decision support for the end users. Outcome over output is one of our core principles and you will be ultimately responsible for that your organization delivers tangible value to the business and end users.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee the discovery and delivery of a suite of products supporting clinical trial operational insights ensuring that the products deliver on key value drivers defined together with the business units. Engage with key senior leaders to ensure that the vision, strategy, and development of digital products in the suite are in alignment with business priorities. People leadership and coaching of key product people (product manager and product owners) and managers of subject matter experts in key areas related to delivering trial operational insights products. Ensure product management, design, and agile best practices are implemented and followed. Continuously evaluate the performance and progress of the products, identifying areas for improvement. Qualifications
To thrive and succeed, we expect you to have: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Life Science or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in either product management of digital products; OR clinical development experience with a deep understanding of trial operational data and a digital mindset. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role with line management responsibility, preferably from a large company. Preferably, experience developing data insights products including knowledge of data science, engineering, design, and change management. Pharmaceutical industry experience would be a strong advantage. Strong communication skills in written and oral English As a person, can guide, inspire, and influence a team at the same time you set direction and foster collaboration. You thrive in global and complex environments and have the ability to think strategically and understand broader business objectives. In Clinical Drug Development Digital Transformation, we lead the digitalisation of clinical development to bring more innovative medicine to more patients faster. We drive the discovery and development of a portfolio of digital products ranging from large clinical trial management systems over data insights products to electronic Clinical Outcome Assessment (eCOA) solutions. Our portfolio consists of both solutions we built in-house as well as solutions from vendors.
