HEAD OF STRATEGIC BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT – SAS CARGO
Over the last years, we have seen increasing demand for cargo services worldwide. Demand is projected to continue increasing and the industry is facing a rapid digital transformation.
SAS Cargo has been successful in capturing the growth in the market and is an enabler for the profitability of SAS long haul operations. To ensure that SAS Cargo continue to adapt to new market reality and embraces new opportunities, we are now seeking a Head of Strategic Business Development, a key role in SAS Cargo´s future growth.
Purpose of the role
The Head of Strategic Business Development is responsible for developing and executing SAS Cargo´s overall strategy and roadmap for the coming years. You and your team will be the core unit in SAS Cargo in terms of defining and knowing SAS Cargo´s relevant markets and customer segments by collecting and analyzing relevant insights and data. Based on this you will strategize the direction for SAS Cargo and where we can grow most profitable going forward and thereby, also strengthening SAS overall position. In this context digital transformation is a key theme.
The position requires a pro-active and structured focus on key areas in order to strengthen SAS Cargo´s future competitiveness and profitability. Primary areas of responsibility are:
• Strategy definition and deployment
• Business intelligence and Analytics
• Project and Change Management
• Business Excellence and Risk Management
• Sustainability strategy and roadmap
• Corporate Governance models
• Support to SAS Cargo organization
You will lead a team of four skilled employees and report directly to SAS Cargo CEO and be part of SAS Cargo Management Team. You will be working closely with other units in SAS Cargo and the Board of Directors of SAS Cargo Group A/S as well as interact with other units in SAS Group.
Who are we looking for?
Finding strategic thinking inspiring and enjoying analyzing problems together with others should be something that motivates you. You should have a genuine interest in developing a commercial business model and seeking new business opportunities. Transform business opportunities into structured plans and presentations is an important skill.
You should be visionary in your mindset with the capability to also identify and mitigate practical and operational obstacles on the way towards reaching the vision. Change Management is a key component and should be something that inspires rather than intimidates you. Managing projects and initiatives with different characteristics is a core element in this position, therefore project management skills are desired.
Experience and Qualifications
• Extensive experience in working with strategy deployment and business development
• Excellent strategic and analytic skills
• Very strong writing and presentation skills
• Solid experience in driving complex projects and organizational change
• Solid experinece in analysing complex problem solving
• Master´s degree or similar
• Preferably managerial and industry experience, as well as negotiation skills
• Experience with driving digitalization projects and leading change management is a plus
Personal qualifications
• High credibility and integrity
• Business- and result oriented
• Strong communicator
• Digitally savvy and committed to drive SAS Cargo´s digitalization agenda
• Ability to create overview and resilience in pressed situations
• Ability to be at the forefront of issues and solutions
• Fluent in one of the Scandinavian languages and English
• Located within Scandinavia, preferably in the Copenhagen area
