Lead Platform Architect - Compliance
We are currently looking for a Lead Platform Architect for our Fleet Technology Platform, who could be based in Copenhagen - Denmark.
The opportunity is not limited to working with exciting technology but also solving complex problems, many of which are for the first time in the industry. Further, you will play a leading role in transforming an over 100-year-old industry-leading company to be a technology-driven company.
As Lead Platform Architect, you will be actively engaged in building a platform to capture emissions data from other enterprise products, which will be enabled through API based data exchange and event streaming providing a unified view of emissions data across APMM operations. You will be also engaged in building home grown products in the enterprise compliance domain. These products will help understand how compliant the enterprise is across different compliance dimensions and also manage adherence to established policies and controls along those dimensions.
This is a leadership and “hands on” role, you will draw from your deep and broad technical expertise to mentor coach and develop the skills and capabilities of our architects and engineers, completing hands-on technical work and resolving complex issues and challenges.
You will be working with the largest technology providers globally. Using cutting-edge technologies in Hybrid Cloud Management with significant opportunities to develop, demonstrate and broaden your technology career.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for defining, improving and road mapping the architecture and designs for our Decarbonisation product offering, partnering with industry players like Microsoft, AWS and also with Start Ups.
- Responsible for defining architectural descriptions and design artefacts ensuring they are maintained, usable and meet stakeholder concerns.
- Responsible for shaping the product offering in conjunction with the platform stakeholders advising on options and recommending solutions.
- Responsible for providing architectural leadership to the team to ensure compliance and adherence of products and services is to the defined architecture specifications, requirements, and industry best practices in a timely manner.
- Responsible for guidance and resolution of technical issues and challenges faced by engineering teams in the implementation of standardized architectures.
- Work with technology partners, senior engineering managers, product owners, scrum masters and scrum teams to do release and sprint planning.
- Work closely with global, regional, and local stakeholders on regular basis to bridge the gap between technology and business.
- Actively drive the career growth of engineers and team members by defining technical skills and technical training within the area of your architectural scope.
- Actively Attract world class talent and provide technical guidance, career development, and mentoring to team members.
- Represent Maersk on key industry standards forums and work with the team to publish research and represent Maersk at industry and technology standards bodies and forums.
We are looking for –
- Extensive industry experience in architecting and/or developing and delivering end-to-end products/solutions. Must have experience in managing teams.
- Experience in architecting and defining standards and specifications for building cloud-ready enterprise services (containerized) that can scale and perform in Hybrid cloud setups.
- Experience in building homegrown technology products in support of facilitating measuring compliance adherence to process controls.
- Proven experience in developing Develop cloud-native, distributed systems in Java, and Spring boot. Desirable skills in Azure Web App, Azure API, Kubernetes, IoT
- Knowledge of Domain Driven Design and/or functional programming with microservices architecture.
- Understanding of software application observability principles and designing/building telemetry for all products/services.
- Experience in architecting scalable and robust RESTful APIs; deep knowledge of REST/SOAP.
- Experience in the application of Architecture Management Frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman, SABSA etc) and Cyber Security Controls and Mitigations in architectural designs.
- Is familiar with the planning, estimating, and execution of programs of development work to time, budget, and quality targets. The identification of the resources needed for development and how this will be met with an effective supply capacity. The alignment of development activity and deliverables with agreed architectures and standards.
- Is familiar with agile principles and values, e.g., the Agile Manifesto. Has practical experience in software development with agile methods, e.g., Scrum or Kanban with infrastructure as code bias.
- Is familiar with identifying new and emerging technologies, products, services, methods, and techniques. Can assess their relevance and the potential impacts (both threats and opportunities) upon business enablers, cost, performance, or sustainability. Can communicate emerging technologies and their impact.
- Experience in technical coaching and mentoring architects and engineering teams in an Agile Environment
- Graph Database (GDB) would be highly desirable
