In reference to the Managing Director and as a part of the country management, you are given the responsibility to develop and operate the engineering department and its employees.
Your responsibilities will be many and place great demands on your independence and your ability to collaborate across the organization. You will work with the entire value chain of the company and you therefore must thrive on tasks that alternate between ordinary operations, maintenance and development. The role is right for you who is motivated by opportunities and challenges and who at the same time can translate theory into practice.

Job description:

Your primary tasks will be:
- To provide leadership for the engineering departmentand coach, mentor and develop the people. To lead by example to foster motivation, inspire others and develop a team spirit and creation of a positive and high performing attitude
- To drive the transformation from 2D to 3D design and the overall digitalisation of processes and project management
- To support and promote the realisation of the company strategy
- To conduct technical and commercial supervision of projects with a focus on cross-functional collaboration (sales, operations, support) to advance business performance, productivity, and customer satisfaction - to ensure the engineering team develops safe and economical technical solutions
- To liaise and coordinate with clients and contractors on technical and commercial aspects
- To work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance with the engineering strategy - to constantly collaborate with Area & Corporate Engineering
- To advise Formwork Engineers with regards to technical problems and issues that arise on site
- To lead, manage and drive overall product development and strategy together with group leaders in cooperation with local and Doka Group Product Management and Sales
- To live corporate engineering policies and ensure that Doka policies, procedures, and compliance are adhered to by the engineering team
Your background:
The position is a desire to strengthen and develop a department that is strategically important for the future. Your role will therefore be met with great attention, and great demands will be placed on your ability to communicate with both internal stakeholders and employees.
We expect the following:
- Your educational background is an Engineering Diploma/Degree (Construction, Structural, Civil or Building)
- You have a good engineering experience, especially with certain segments such as Civil, High-Rise, Infrastructure
- Your experience in construction industry specifically in building construction, job site experience and/or project management is beneficial
- You have a good commercial understanding
- You have an understanding of designing in AutoCAD 2D/3D, Revit, Tekla
- Your experienced with BIM Technology & digitalisation
- You have proven leadership skills with an open communication style
- You have the ability to prioritise, organise, and work well within deadlines
- You have the ability to solve problems using technical proficiency, strategic thinking and analytical skills
- You have a solid understanding of customers’ needs and a high customer orientation
- You have excellent communication skills in English and local Danish skills are strongly welcomed
