Topsoe’s Power-to-X entity is a strategic lighthouse on our path to be the leading provider of carbon emission reduction technologies. As we are a fast-growing organization developing our own technology and exciting new products, we are looking for a new colleague to join our newly established Engineering & Supply Chain team.Who we’re looking forYour main responsibilities will be to set up Power-to-X’s global logistics organization to be fully operational Jan 1st, 2025. You will be responsible for calculating the implied logistics costs to support 2025 sales forecast and following years. Furthermore, you will implement monthly S.I. & O.P. meetings with relevant stakeholders, calculate demands and plan internal and external operations accordingly.
You will identify, qualify, and develop logistics service providers for worldwide operations, assist procurement in the negotiations of contracts and work with Topsoe IT department for SAP S/4HANA EWM & TM set up to be fully operational October 2024.Other responsibilities you will have:Create the necessary dashboard to manage all logistics related data and generate monthly metrics for cost, cashflow demands, OTIF, stock turns, ICC, GHG emissions, etc. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and cost reduction measures Deliver required data to Finance Dept (physical inventories, goods ageing, locations of value, etc.) and for goods insurance Contribute to PFEP (e.g. LT, MOQ, reverse logistics, etc.) and to developing sustainable packaging Assist Supply Chain in providing gravity analysis for optimal sourcing Identify and execute strategic initiatives to ensure ability to meet fluctuating demands and future growth and to implement early alerts to avoid disruptions. We are looking for an experienced Global Head of Logistics candidate with experience in processing and interpreting complex data sets in reasonable timeframes to make informed decisions. You have experience in implementing high level of visibility metrics and real-time information for every stored or moving part and in providing seamless supply chain services, improved customer service (internal and external), in managing exceptions and early alerts and removing costs and inefficiencies from the supply chain. This position requires intensive worldwide travelling to supervise third parties’ logistics activities. A proven track record of managing subcontracted just in sequence logistics partners worldwide is a must.What you’ll bringFurthermore, you have:Approximately 10 years’ years relevant experience gained in mass production industries in managing Lead Logistics Providers (from 3 to 4PL) for worldwide operations Familiar with SAP S/4HANA ERP and integration and interoperability with 3rd party systems Autonomous entrepreneurship, can work both independently and in teams Well versed with Scope 1,2 and 3, ESG and GHG emission thematic in logistics Ready to travel up to 75%.
