We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated senior laboratory technician to join our Biomarker Identification department. If you have a strong background working with flow cytometry, cell systems and RNA (ribonucleic acid), and are keen to use your collaborative and problem-solving skills, then this might be just the right job for you. As our new laboratory technician your key responsibility will be to conduct laboratory experiments to identify new biomarkers. You will be part of a team of 16-18 highly skilled and self-motivated scientists and technicians, and you will carry out daily planning of your work in close collaboration with scientists at the department. You will be working in a lab with state-of-the-art analytical equipment for flow cytometry, RNA extraction and cell culturing. The position is full-time and will be based in Måløv. Qualifications You are a fully trained Laboratory Technician or Biomedical Laboratory Technician:(In Danish: laborant or bioanalytiker) You have a minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience within the field of laboratory work You have solid hands-on experience working with flow cytometry and cellular assays You have solid experience in maintaining laboratory facilities and equipment You have experience with RNA work and extracellular vesicles You have a strong drive, a quality mindset, and a talent for troubleshooting You are curious about scientific questions and like to develop your laboratory skill sets As communication in Danish as well as English is a natural part of your future work, a certain level of both languages will be needed. User level knowledge to IT systems such as Excel and Word In addition, as a person you have a positive and collaborative mindset, and interpersonal skills that allow you to build fruitful relations to both colleagues and stakeholders. About the department The Biomarker Identification department is part of the Translational Research area within Global Translation , where it is responsible for identifying clinically relevant biomarkers and generating high-quality biomarker data to guide decision-making in research and early development. You will join a team of dedicated scientists and laboratory technicians who use diverse in vitro and omics technologies to develop biomarker strategies, e.g., diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular disease areas. Global Translation is an organisational area responsible for application of translational methodologies across all the therapy areas in Novo Nordisk. Global Translation is part of Novo Nordisk´s Research & Early Development and is located in Måløv, Greater Copenhagen.
