Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyse market intelligence to assist with forecasting,
decision making and specific trading strategies.
- Support core processes in MOT front office.
- Create and communicate fossil fuel market information to the wider Maersk organisation
- Provide support for related functions related to pricing of bunker fuel
- Support growth of global trading business, contributing and supporting the trading strategy across the globe
- Build strong internal relationships with the rest of the Commercial organization and external stakeholders.
- This role requires participation on global trading teams which require the wiliness to work various hours to manage communication across the globe.
- Producing fossil fuel RoFo on quarterly basis
- Weekly and monthly market reports as required
Required Experience/Skills
- Proven ability to analyse markets and communicate market insights and trends.
- Knowledge /understanding of the international crude or products markets.
- Understanding of commodity risk to manage underlying positions.
- Ability to interface effectively with internal and external customers, counterparties, suppliers, and consultants.
- Collaborative team player with ability to work constructively within a very close and often demanding team-working environment and interact well with other parts of the group.
- Self-starter with curiosity and desire to develop the function and provide value to the organisation
- High levels of personal integrity and alignment with Maersk core values
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills.
Preferred Experience/Skills
- 2-5 years in a related analytical position
- Ability to gather and process large amounts of information and data and distil relevant insights for traders.
- Knowledge/ experience of oil markets.
- Understanding of the characteristics of products and processes in terms of oil refining, including an appreciation of specifications worldwide supply and demand economics.
- Understanding of bunker retail market
