We are now strengthening this focus by building an area that will be the centre of gravity for collecting the patient voice in a systematic and documented way across our innovation value chain in Novo Nordisk. This unit will together with stakeholders in Novo Nordisk from research to market and with the help from patient association groups, create patient voice strategies for our product offerings in development. A Patient Association Manager is responsible for building and maintaining our patient association framework. This includes the patient association strategy with a goal of Novo Nordisk being seen as a long term committed partner to relevant patient association in development of treatment offerings. This may include gathering and analysing patient feedback, developing and implementing patient engagement initiatives, and working with other departments to ensure that patient-centered practices are incorporated into all aspects of or work. You will be part of patient strategy and alliance in global medical affairs and will work in Søborg, Denmark. We are a small team with the ambition to grow. We are responsible for leading and overseeing Novo Nordisk efforts to put patients at the centre of our operation and decision-making. We provide strategic input to ensure that Novo Nordisk is providing high-quality, patient-centred care, and continuously improve the patient experience. The position
As Patient Association Manager you will report directly to the Chief Patient Officer. In this role, your main responsibilities will be to:
  • Further build a framework and strategy around our external engagement with patient association groups
  • Set up collaborations with patient association groups to ensure optimal co-creation with internal stakeholders for patient preferences to be included in the decision-making process of drug development or execution of clinical trials
  • Maintain close relations with patient association groups, and patients for co-creation in full GDPR compliance
  • Support mapping of patient journeys in new therapeutic areas
  • Matching patient profiles for patient voice activities in collaboration with Patient Insights and intelligence Specialists
  • Responsible for executing identified activities (in-house or vendor based) as per the Patient voice strategies (e.g., focus groups, advisory boards, foundational research, risk/benefit etc.)
  • Do you have what it takes?
    To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
  • MSc. or bachelor’s degree in life science or other relevant fields
  • Experience in patient focused drug development
  • Good understanding of healthcare industry, patient experience and data protection regulations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and other stakeholders
  • Project management skills to plan and execute patient engagement initiatives
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively to develop innovative patient engagement solutions
  • Experience in patient education, communication, and patient support services
  • As a person, you are motivated to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and adapt to changing requirements and priorities. You enjoy driving new initiatives in a complex and dynamic environment. You have a high degree of independence to set direction and deliver results in close collaboration with other experts. You enjoy identifying better practice across the industry and improve these. About our office space The office space has full useability for wheelchair users. It is flexible seating i.e. no fixed seat with zones for collaboration or quiet space.
