The position We are expanding our Precision Medicine & Biomarkers department with experienced scientists and/or physicians to drive the implementation of precision medicine and biomarker strategies across our clinical development programmes. You will work closely with key stakeholders in clinical projects and therapeutic areas to develop and implement plans and tactics aligned to the agreed strategic needs through internal or external delivery. Providing scientific expertise and leadership, influencing decision-making and building productive relationships across functions would be important part of the work. You will critically evaluate relevant scientific, medical and business advancements and integrate it into the recommendations. Qualifications You hold a PhD and/or MD with experience from a biotech or a pharma company and a minimum of 6 years of experience of biomarkers in clinical drug development or equivalent. We also expect you to: Have previous experience implementing precision medicine and/or biomarker strategies. Have expert understanding of biomarkers and their utility in drug development and clinical care and anticipate future business needs. Be solution oriented and drive delivery through collaborative cross-functional teamwork. Have a pioneering, curious attitude where learning is fun. Preferably have a scientific or medical background in the area of cardiometabolic diseases. About the department You will join the Precision Medicine & Biomarkers (PMB) team, which is located, together with a Diagnostic department, in the newly formed Precision Medicine, Biomarkers & Diagnostic Centre of Expertise (PMBD CoE) within Medical Science Innovation, Clinical Drug Development. Our commitment is to build a differentiated clinical pipeline with increased probability of success by matching medicines with those patients who will benefit most. As part of the corporate global R&D strategy and 5D (Drug, Device, Diagnostic, Digital, Data) product solution, the PMBD CoE is a growing area that will drive the increased mechanistic understanding of both treatment and disease supporting a precision medicine approach and potential diagnostic development.
