The position As an International Medical Director, you will have several key responsibilities: Help shape a part of the CagriSema strategy. Be involved in the early planning and design of clinical trials, ensure cross-functional alignment, and provide medical/strategic input to health authority interactions. Once the trials start, provide medical oversight during trial conduct and once they finalize take part in the interpretation of data including assessment of risk-benefit, documenting results, and supporting regulatory submissions. Working in close collaboration with many other skill areas such as trial management, biostatistics, global safety, and regulatory affairs, you will build both internal and external network(s) and share learnings actively within the project and department. Finally, an important part of the role is to teach and guide less experienced members of the team. Qualifications University degree as a Medical Doctor and have dedicated clinical research experience, preferably through a PhD or similar Experience with clinical development in the Pharmaceutical or Biotech industry would be required Experience as (co)-investigator in randomized clinical trials is a plus Proficient written and oral English as we work in a global environment As a professional, you thrive in a dynamic and international environment with attention to quality and innovation. You have strong coordination/planning and collaborative capabilities and have key attributes including analytical and strategic skills, creativity, curiosity, flexibility, commitment, and ability to prioritise tasks. About the department The CagriSema area in Clinical Drug Development was established to ensure we maximize the innovative height of this compound. You will be a part of the Medical & Science (M&S) branch of CagriSema, where we play a key role in shaping the CagriSema clinical development program. Our responsibilities include planning and execution of clinical trials and non-interventional studies, medical and scientific support to health authority interactions, publications, early research activities, presentations, and more. The current M&S departments consist of 18 medical doctors and 5 clinical pharmacologists split across three teams - and we are expected to grow.
