The position This is an exciting opportunity to optimise some of our processes, bring your expertise, and contribute to setting the frame for how the council is organised & working. This includes driving further optimisation of templates, digital tools, and processes that the council, and council-administration as well as council visitors will use. Being a full-time member of the council, you will manage the agenda in close collaboration with the Corporate Vice President (CVP) Chairing the Council. Additionally, you will participate in the meetings and be responsible for gathering the meeting pre-reads, presentations, and meeting minutes content. Occasionally, you will present on behalf of the projects that have handed in what we characterise as ‘Written Updates to the Council’. You will gain exposure to the entire trial portfolio strategy (es) across Novo Nordisk by working directly with all the project teams visiting the Council; for example endorsement of trial recruitment timelines, and implementation of best practices in Clinical Drug Development. Your responsibilities will include working closely with: The CVP Chair of the council prioritising the agenda, co-hosts all council meetings both on/off-site, and prepare the meeting minute content. VP of Global Trial Planning – to whom you will also formally report. All the Project Teams visiting the council guiding them in terms of templates, timelines and sometimes also content-structure to bring. Qualifications Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or equivalent experience. Experience and understanding of the clinical drug development value chain. Previous experience within the pharmaceutical industry, preferably from clinical operations or related roles. It is considered an advantage if you have experience hosting meetings, preparing & giving contextual presentations to senior/executive management, usage of trial data insights in decision-making and/or data literacy. Professional proficiency in English (written and oral) is a must. As a person, you are self-reflective and can use your good interpersonal communication & listening skills to achieve results together with your colleagues and manage stakeholder relationships at all organisational levels. You come with a strategic and analytical mindset, along with a desire to support your colleagues with building clear contextual recommendations or requests going to the council. You work systematically and appreciate driving a structured approach to your task, balanced with an ability to feel comfortable when not all processes are developed. About the department You will join GTE-Council which is accountable for setting strategic direction, planning, and execution of all clinical trials globally. Also, it is with the Council that innovation projects e.g. future ways of operational clinical drug development, process optimisations, and digital solutions, are anchored. The Council has a direct reporting line to the Clinical Drug Development Board hosted by the SVP for Clinical Drug Development. Global Trial Planning (GTP) is becoming a centre of expertise within data-driven strategic patient forecasting and recruitment strategy. We are responsible for a strategic allocation of patients from more than 40 countries with local clinical staff into our clinical trials. Currently, we are twenty colleagues in total, eleven Global Trial Planners, and three Data Analysts, and we are growing. We are a relatively diverse group in terms of personal profiles, previous experiences, and education. One thing we have in common is a background in science and a strong appreciation for how our differences are strengthening our function and its deliverables. GPT is anchored in Clinical Drug Development (CDD) which is part of the Development organisation, and the GTE-Council is delegated and empowered to operate on behalf of Clinical Drug Development, in trial recruitment questions and answers. In Development we are responsible for managing clinical drug development worldwide from early development phases to product launch. We provide medical and scientific documentation for clinical submissions and authorities while ensuring that the process lives up to global standards, regulations, and business ethics.
