The Position
The Clinical Meeting Management Department is expanding and needs an Associate Clinical Meeting Planner who will specialise in virtual meetings. In time there may be a need to travel for in-person meetings so we are looking for an experienced meeting planner who can help us embed best-practice and innovation in our Investigator and Results meetings. This is a fast-paced role that requires a flexible mindset. You will drive your own workload based on your assigned meetings, so you need to anticipate your next task without being directed. Your key responsibilities will include: Taking on ownership of logistics for project teams delivering clinical meetings as part of our clinical trials. Managing internal and external stakeholders across the globe and leading all aspects of our meeting planning from initiation to debriefing and final reporting. Recommending creative/interactive meeting formats to ensure a dynamic meeting agenda with a high level of participant interaction. Processing contracts, project agreements, RFP’s as well as delivering process optimisation across our portfolio. Building event websites and coordinating event technology. Qualifications
To succeed in this role, we expect you to have: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in event management, business administration, marketing, communication, or hospitality management is preferred. Relevant professional experience can be considered in place of academic qualification. Experience in planning and executing large-scale and complex international meetings/events, preferably in a clinical research capacity. Proven track record-driven projects, preferably in a project-oriented, international matrix organization. Content development and attendee engagement for virtual meetings, experience with adult education, and contracting services would be a great asset but not required. Fluent written and spoken English is essential. As a person, you are curious, open to innovation, detail-oriented, and driven to find solutions. You possess strong interpersonal skills which allow you to manage stakeholder relationships at different levels and areas across the organisation. A structured approach for effective planning and coordination is important. Overall, you have personal drive and the ability to work independently but also as part of a team. About the department
Located in Clinical Drug Development, Clinical Meeting Management was formed in March 2020. A team of Meeting Planners, Medical Content Specialist’s, and Medical Content Delivery Specialists are assisted by a satellite team of Medical Illustrators to deliver more than 70 Clinical Meeting a year for the Key Project Areas in Clinical Drug Development. Our meetings are a key touchpoint on the learning journeys of each site staff member taking part in our clinical trials. We are at the forefront of virtual meetings and using digital innovations in our face-to-face meetings. We have recently expanded to absorb Medical Content creation so new team members can expect to join a large and dynamic team dedicated to delivery of the industry’s most successful Investigator Meetings in both virtual and in-person formats.
In Clinical Drug Development, we are responsible for managing drug development worldwide from early development phases to product introduction. We ensure sound medical and scientific documentation for clinical submissions to authorities by guaranteeing that the clinical meeting process lives up to uniform global standards, regulations, and business ethics.
