About the World Diabetes Foundation (WDF) The World Diabetes Foundation was founded in 2002 as an independent foundation by Novo Nordisk A/S and today is a leading global funder of diabetes prevention and care projects in low- and middle-income countries. Our vision is to alleviate human suffering related to diabetes among those in greatest need. We pursue sustainable, scalable approaches, helping countries meet global goals for improved care of diabetes and other non-communicable diseases. Since 2002, the World Diabetes Foundation has provided 182 million EUR in funding to 584 partnership projects in 119 countries. For every euro of WDF funding provided, about 2 euros in cash or in-kind donations are contributed to the supported projects from other sources. WDF headquarter is located in Bagsværd, close to Copenhagen. To learn more, visit www.worlddiabetesfoundation.org The position You will join the WDF Communication and Sustainability Department. Its main work streams are Communications, stakeholder engagement, cross-functional projects, fundraising and campaigning. You will report to the Head of Communication and Sustainability, work closely with department team members and in collaboration with colleagues across WDF. Responsibilities Develop communication materials using a variety of tactics (written communications, presentation materials etc.) to articulate key messages from WDF programs, fundraising and campaigning. Storytelling through digital campaigns, newsletters, and videos. Support implementation of WDF’scommunication strategy based on a recently conducted external review, including updating our social media approach Contribute with analytical skills and insights to WDF’s communication workstream Secure message alignment across internal and external channels in collaboration with colleagues Skills - Experience and Requirements Preferably a Master of Communication or Journalism, or other relevant qualification Thrive in exploring messages and writing articles Good at gathering and analysing insights from activities/programs to storytelling You may be at the beginning of your career after just completing your studies or with a few years of work experience Being comfortable with independently taking ownership of a task from concept to delivery as well as working in close collaboration with others You are social, open to new tasks and challenges, and not afraid to take responsibility or jump into something unknown Full proficiency in written and spoken English.
