The Position As the Associate Director NASH Partnerships you will be providing strategic sparring and counsel on a very broad range of issues and activities, which requires independent decision-making and an ability to navigate a changing internal and external environment. Where relevant, there may be synergies across other Novo Nordisk therapy areas (obesity, cardiovascular disease). The role holder must be able to identify and exploit synergies where possible. Your key responsibilities will be;
  • Develop, drive and implement strategic policy shaping partnerships to improve early diagnosis for people living with NASH
  • Engage and influence relevant stakeholders at global and national level to drive political and thought leader awareness of NASH and the importance of early diagnosis policies
  • Work with a wide range of partners including the public sector where relevant, to ensure health system preparedness for the NASH epidemic
  • Co-create impactful advocacy initiatives, joint positions, policy briefs and evidence, bringing together different partners around shared objectives.
  • Represent Novo Nordisk in relevant international fora and multi-stakeholder initiatives
  • In our consideration and implementation of opportunities for partnerships which we build on our social responsibility, it will be necessary to connect and collaborate with broader GPAS(Global Public Affairs & Sustainability). In navigating complex stakeholder interactions and relationships, a strong understanding of health policy and government affairs will be required. International travel minimum once per month included. Qualifications
  • 7+ years’ experience and a proven track record in working in driving results (Regional or Global Strategies, Public Affairs expertise)
  • Experience working in chronic disease policy preferred
  • Health policy consultancy experience
  • Thorough business understanding
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to network
  • Excellent communicator with advanced spoken and written English
  • As a person you are outgoing and proactive and you have ability to manage complex projects/issues. You have high degree of ambition, personal drive and ability to work independently in result-oriented focus. About the Department Global Public Affairs & Patient Relations is part of the GPAS area in Novo Nordisk. We aspire to be a proactive and solutions-oriented partner to patients and policymakers in the joint ambition to raise the standards of care in our therapy areas and help solve society’s fundamental challenges. The role is anchored in the Serious Chronic Disease Policy Team that is driving the development and execution of the public affairs strategy for Novo Nordisk’s expanding portfolio to cardiovascular disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and NASH.
