If so, you might be the Chemicals Specialist we are looking for to join our growing Environmental Compliance team at Novo Nordisk. The position As Chemicals Specialist, you will be an active member of Novo Nordisk focus group on environmental regulations and a sparring partner for our Chemicals Project Lead. Your main focus will be to monitor current and upcoming chemical regulations and communicate their impact to relevant stakeholders. Some of your main responsibilities also include to: Support on registration projects including data mapping, test strategy and reporting Conduct bi-annual reviews on raw materials and pharmaceutical intermediates Contribute on internal positions and strategies on use of specific chemicals Assist on internal impact assessments for upcoming chemical regulatory requirements and support the implementation of Novo Nordisk’s sustainable chemical ambition (including supplier surveys) Prepare input to industry networks and authorities including stakeholder consultations, position statements, and presentations Report Novo Nordisk usage of regulated substances to relevant authorities. On top of that, you will support the development of relevant internal chemical data repositories, leveraged from existing Novo Nordisk systems. Qualifications To be considered for this position, we expect you to have: A Master of science in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Science or any other relevant field At least 3 years’ of experience working with chemical compliance in a regulated industry (pharmaceutical, medical devices, chemical,…) Knowledge of EU chemicals regulation (REACH or CLP) Fluency in English, both written and spoken. It would be considered as a plus if you have a previous experience with project management. As a person, you enjoy being part of a specialist team and collaborating to develop and implement solutions to solve complex issues. You have a positive mind-set and a can do approach to overcome challenges to ensure chemical compliance is not compromised. With an outgoing personality and strong communication skills, you excel at building and maintaining strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across different functions to drive change and reduce environmental impact. About the department The Environmental Compliance team is part of the Environment & Social Sustainability department and is anchored within the Product Supply, Quality and IT organisation. The team ensures ongoing compliance with external regulations for Novo Nordisk production sites and is responsible for the Novo Nordisk environmental management system. You will be working alongside 10 highly skilled environmental specialists and project managers who drive environmental sustainability for our expanding production sites. We work closely with stakeholders across Novo Nordisk to implement the Circular for Zero environmental strategy into Novo Nordisk production thus supporting our overall ambition to have zero environmental impact.
