The position You will drive key Life Cycle Management and Global Project Team (GPT) related activities in close alignment with other team members. The primary responsibility is to deliver on our ambitious long-term targets, including: Impactful execution of LCM strategies, specifically deliver the first reno-protective GLP-1 treatment, further establish Ozempic® as CV protective and deliver the first PAD T2D treatment with a GLP-1, digital strategy for GLP-1 Be the right hand of the PVP in running the GPT Overall project management responsibility by skilfully following up, reporting status and progress of the projects to management, assuring necessary project team competencies and quality of deliverables, evaluating and mitigating project risks and assuring communication and engagement with both internal and external project stakeholders. Represent the projects as commercial and strategic input provider to other diabetes and semaglutide development projects including specific Product Development Plans (PDP) Lead and secure timely and high-quality execution on various ad hoc strategic projects based on opportunities arising and reflecting changes in the competitive landscape You will be reporting to the Project Vice President (PVP) of Injectable GLP-1, who oversees both the short-term commercial strategies and long-term product development opportunities. This is done in close collaboration with regions, affiliates, and cross-functional stakeholders. Qualifications You hold a significant proven project management experience with senior stakeholder involvement, preferably in both HQ and Operations/affiliate and have a good commercial understanding as foundation for your work. Key aspects to thrive and succeed: Very strong leadership and interpersonal skills Ability to solve complex problems independently by getting to the core and clearly communicating scenarios, impacts, and recommendations to the decision-makers Strong organisational and proactive planning skills with a high degree of flexibility Ability to drive multi-stakeholder projects forward despite different views and opinions is a must Good sense of diplomacy whilst still assertive and able to ensure progress and lead to decisions in a complex stakeholder landscape Excellent communication skills with proficient written and spoken English You enjoy working with a cross-functional group and you are generally an optimistic individual with a high self-drive and energy level comfortable with taking the role as informal leader. You are known to have impact and a can-do attitude. You see opportunities, and you are eager to execute on your ideas. Furthermore, you are an excellent leader of complex projects and a strong communicator to all levels in the organisation as demonstrated by gaining buy-in from cross-functional teams. You have a relevant academic degree, and you are fluent in written and spoken English. About the department You will join the Injectable GLP-1 Project Office which is part of the GLP-1 & Modern Non-Insulin Anti-Diabetic Drug Portfolio Unit in the Diabetes Unit within Novo Nordisk’s Commercial Strategy & Corporate Affairs Organisation. It is a driven, team-oriented, and international environment, and you will work with colleagues from headquarter and all over the world. Currently 4.7 million people around the globe with T2D are treated with Ozempic® alone, with global sales in 2022 of Ozempic® being approximately 60 bDKK. The project team is responsible for developing and executing the LCM strategies for Ozempic® and Victoza® and this includes delivering the first PAD and reno-protective treatments with a GLP-1. As Project Director you are reporting to the Project Vice President (PVP) of Ozempic® and Victoza®, who oversees both the short term commercial and long-term product development strategies. This is done by working closely with regions, affiliates and cross-functional stakeholders.
