Do you want to join our OSCD (Other Serious Chronic Diseases) commercial unit as a Global Marketing Director to drive the brand strategy and execution of semaglutide in Alzheimer’s Disease (semaAD)? Are you a commercially ambitious and strong marketeer who is intrigued by leading the development of the commercial strategy to launch semaAD? Then you may be the one we are looking for in our semaAD commercial team. Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) is a devastating disease that robs a person of their identity and independence, and a family of their loved one. It represents one of the highest unmet medical need therapy areas of our time, affecting 70-100m people with numbers expected to triple by 2050. Semaglutide has shown promising data in AD, and if phase 3 reads out positive in a few short years, it could bring meaningful benefits to patients and care partners to slow disease progression. The position As the Marketing Director, you will lead and shape the aspiration brand strategy for semaAD, the go-to-market model, as well as the launch preparations for Novo Nordisk to enter a new therapeutic area to bring significant improvements for the millions of patients living with AD. In this role, you will be responsible to:
  • Driving development of brand positioning, brand building, commercialisation plan and development of branded & unbranded campaigns.
  • Lead the integrated product strategy and recommend strategic development options to relevant governance to maximize the semaAD opportunity.
  • Develop global go-to-market model for semaAD, and be responsible for commercial model assessment for the focus markets with senior stakeholders across Medical Affairs, Patient Access, Marketing and other key functions.
  • Drive overall engagement model and sales force sizing and ensure close partnering with Finance and operations to ensure timely investments and ramp-up for successful launch.
  • Drive and execute the launch activity plan process with focus markets to ensure market fit strategies and organisational readiness.
  • Develop relationships and secure engagement with internal and external stakeholders for SemaAD strategy development & execution.
  • You will act as a daily manager for the AD brand team, ensuring individual guidance, development, and high team performance. Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will have:
  • High level experience as brand strategist, with more than 8 years in pharmaceutical sales/marketing/commercial roles at global and affiliate level.
  • Strong and proven track record in pre-launch strategy and launch readiness.
  • Advocacy, communication skills and ability to set vision and execute on plans.
  • Strong experience on managing multiple high-profile projects at different levels throughout the organisation and C-suite decision making.
  • Preferably, at least 2 years of recent experience in neurology, and ideally in Alzheimer’s Disease.
  • As a person, you have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with strong personal drive and dedication. You are assertive and able to ensure progress in a difficult stakeholder landscape, with ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with a positive attitude. You are a strong communicator with fluency in English. About the department In OSCD department, we are shaping the future direction of Novo Nordisk, while improving the lives of millions of people living with chronic diseases and with high unmet need. The department consists of three therapy areas namely, AD (Alzheimer’s Disease), NASH (Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis) and CVD (Cardiovascular Disease).
