About the department
NPI is part of IFP, Manufacturing Development, and consists of approximately 65 employees divided between 5 teams located in Bagsværd, DK. The main responsibility of NPI is the transition of development drug products into large scale production and market approval. This includes process design, material and process sciences, product stability, and coordination of production for late-phase clinical trials.
The Project Office consists of Project Managers each heading up 1-2 drug product development projects in PS, securing the strategy and planning of the drug product development going from Phase 3 preparation and until a successful launch. Our reference material team is securing all primary and secondary reference materials for all marketed IFP products, to ensure release and analysis of – both drug products and API.
The position
As Senior Manager of NPI Project Office and the IFP Reference Materials team, you will be leading 8 Project Managers of different seniority, 3 Sr scientists, and 1 lab technician. The Project Managers are heading up project teams ensuring execution of development projects.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Setting the direction for the team ensuring that the prioritisations and strategies are executed so the department can keep the overview and prioritise deliverables at all times.
- Part of setting the strategy and the direction for the department, together with the rest of the management team.
- Responsible for the development of the employees and the organisation, to ensure we can improve the way we work and always be ready for tomorrow’s challenges!
In this position, it involved high stakeholder collaboration cross functionally and can expect to work closely with R&D, CMC, production sites and CMOs.
Qualifications
- A relevant academic background such as Science, Engineering, Pharmacy or similar.
- You have a solid leadership background, this could be within development, production, or project management of larger complex projects.
- Worked at a strategic level with established experience within line management.
- Experience navigating a complex stakeholder landscape.
- Fluency in the English language is a must for this position.
