The position As a Risk & Control Consultant, you will work in close collaboration with the rest of the Internal Controls team to drive projects aimed at transforming and modernising the global internal control framework at the Novo Nordisk Group. Another key aspect of your position will be to support and guide Novo Nordisk affiliates across the globe in maintaining their local internal control environment. The job will give you solid knowledge of the financial business processes at Novo Nordisk and enable you to develop personally and professionally in a large network across the global organisation. You can expect flexible and balanced working hours, as well as up to three weeks of business travel. Your primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Design internal controls across a variety of financial business processes and play an active role in their implementation, including the preparation of guidance and facilitation of trainings Provide support to the finance organisation on internal controls related matters (e.g., risks assessments, control design, execution, and best practice documentation) Meaningfully contribute to or lead certain internal controls transformation project
Qualifications To thrive and succeed you: Hold a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Business Economics and Auditing or similar Have 2-3 years of auditing experience from working at a large auditing firm Are familiar with conducting risks assessments and have been involved in the testing of both design and operating effectiveness of internal controls Familiarity with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) is considered an advantage Strong communication skills and professional proficiency in oral and written English are essential

About the department The Internal Controls team oversees internal controls over financial reporting across the Novo Nordisk Group. We also serve as a link between internal/external auditors, IT system owners, and the finance organisation. Organisationally, our team is placed in Consolidated Reporting, Corporate Accounting, which consists of around 15 experienced and welcoming individuals. In addition to ensuring compliance with accounting standards, overseeing acquisitions, and other activities, Consolidated Reporting’s primary objective is to ensure that Novo Nordisk delivers correct consolidated financial reporting.
