The position In this role, you will be part of a team of highly motivated and talented Medical Doctors with clinical, research and/or pharmaceutical experience, who are passionate about drug development, communication, medical and scientific education. We offer the opportunity for you to use your medical knowledge, analytical skills and creativity towards new innovative treatments that will make a difference for people with cardiovascular diseases. You will provide timely, accurate and credible scientific and medical input for a variety of projects. Your tasks will involve close collaboration and effective communication with various cross-functional stakeholders including colleagues from clinical development, regulatory, safety, marketing, market access and other functional areas in HQ as well as globally. Another important part of the job is to engage in dialogue with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in different settings with focus on medical and scientific information to help optimise both product development and treatment of patients. With a background as a medical doctor, you will: Provide medical input to clinical trial development including investigator selection and at later stages you will drive the scientific dialogue based on the results from these trials Play a key role in developing publications based on our clinical trial results which requires ability to interact with external authors, statisticians, medical writers, and other stakeholders Advise and drive development of internal and external medical guidance and educational materials Present data both internally and externally and participate in international conferences and scientific meetings Provide medical guidance to various teams that are actively involved in developing Novo Nordisk's global marketing and market access strategies, promotional materials, and other legal and medical aspects You should expect international travel of approximately 20% every year. Qualifications To be successful in this role, we expect you to have: Medical doctor education with at least 2 years of experience in clinical medicine and/or research Previous pharmaceutical industry experience and/or experience in clinical medicine or research cardiovascular diseases preferable within ischemic cardiovascular disease or heart failure Ph.D. degree is considered a strong plus but is not mandatory Fluent in professional English As a person, you need to have excellent presentation, communication and collaboration skills. You must thrive in a setting with a high level of complexity, have solid problem-solving capabilities and a positive attitude. About the department The area Cardiovascular Diseases, Global Medical Affairs is located just outside Copenhagen, in Søborg, Denmark and currently consits of 2 teams covering heart failure and ischemic cardiovascular diseases. In Global Medical Affairs, we are responsible for building and delivering consistent scientific communication across all phases of clinical trials. Cardiovascular Diseases is a growing area within Novo Nordisk with an interesting cardiovascular pipeline covering both ischemic cardiovascular disease and heart failure. We currently focus on molecules in the later stage of development, ziltivekimab (IL-6 inhibitor) in phase 3, semaglutide in phase 3 for HFpEF, and a monoclonal antibody for ATTR cardiomyopathy in phase 2.
