For the past 35 years our department has been on a journey of producing the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) used for the treatment of severe hypoglycaemia of diabetes patients around the world. We are now looking for a Senior Manager to continue this journey with us and ensure stable production as well as employee development and engagement. Are you intrigued by this opportunity? The position As Senior Manager of the API facility, you will be heading up a department of 30 employees consisting of specialists, academics, technicians, and operators. Your direct reports are academics and specialists supporting the manufacturing processes and an associate manager responsible for an operator and technician team. Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Hold the overall responsibility of maintaining efficient and safe delivery of our products
  • Be focused on delivering on production targets, developing the people, processes, and systems
  • Be responsible for making budget forecasts and ensuring the adherence to both financial targets and timelines
  • Ensure compliance with GMP rules, safety, and quality standards
    • Qualifications You will a great asset to our team because you have:
  • Solid leadership experience preferably from leading different types of employees
  • Solid experience from a highly regulated manufacturing environment, preferably from the pharmaceutical industry. Experience from API facilities is an advantage
  • A technical understanding of manufacturing processes or a curious mindset to learn and understand the processes and technicalities of your department
  • Solid experience in manufacturing process optimization e.g., LEAN, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, systematic problem solving
  • A relevant academic degree, full professional proficiency in English, and an ability to communicate in Danish or a willingness to learn Danish
    • You create strong followship around your visions and ideas, and act as role model while installing a data-based culture and an inspiring guiding behaviour to empower your organisation. About the department Your department is part of the Biotech & Rare Disease (BRD) API Denmark Area that is in Gentofte, Hilleroed and Kalundborg. This is where the active ingredients, going into all our life-saving biotech products, are made by app. 500 committed colleagues. We manufacture through complex chemical and biotechnological processes requiring a high level of expertise, commitment, and engagement from our employees and including cultivation, recovery, purification, and freeze-drying. We are producing at full speed in existing facilities, while building and ramping up new state of the art additions to keep up with demand and new Novo Nordisk products. We bring value to patients by delivering the purest possible high-quality API made in compliance with GMP. We drive change by always looking for improvements within our processes, but also in the way we work together to make our products reach as many patients as possible.
