The IT/OT department is looking for an Automation Technician to help us ensure a stable operation to develop and deliver new products to our patients via our Biotech & Rare Disease Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (BRD API) facility in Hillerød. About the position As an Automation Technician, you will play a central role in maintaining and optimising our DeltaV/ PCS systems, PLC structure and other supporting applications while ensuring the stability and efficient operation of our production lines. In addition, you will support production with your colleagues by using your expertise when they need help with hardware or software problem-solving ex. PLC or IO errors. The overall objective is to implement the right solutions for a more digital and automated future, where current setup is optimized. You will work with people from different backgrounds, like operators, skilled workers and supporters. Therefore, you must be outgoing and manage to simplify and explain complex technical contexts to people with different background. The position will familiarize you with the complexities of automated FVII manufacturing and contribute to the day-to-day maintenance of stable production. We are looking for someone with a strong desire to achieve systems knowledge and provide the best solutions in close cooperation with our production. The position will allow you to get familiar with the complexities of automated FVII manufacturing and contribute to the day-to-day maintenance of a stable production. As a result, you will gain valuable experience in an ambitious environment where good ideas change people's lives. Key responsibilities would include:
  • Troubleshooting in PCS on PLCs and IO errors and other supporting systems
  • Conducting maintenance tasks to ensure systems operates properly
  • Navigating the interconnectedness of systems, processes, and equipment when variations occur
  • Evaluating the effects of improvements; keeping the systems updated and upgraded in terms of security
  • Implement Change Requests
  • Participating in on-duty calls with the rest of the team
    • Qualifications You have built your experience from professional bachelor's degree, Maskinmester (engineer), vocational education or other technical education within automation, engineering, electrician or similar. Perhaps you are a recent graduate with a strong curiosity for production PCS Systems, and with the desire and ability to handle a steep learning curve. Alternatively, you are already experienced with operation, maintenance and changes of PCS or PLC systems. To succeed in the role, you have
  • Some experience with Delta V/PCS, PLC, IO errors, change requests and deviations
  • Knowledge and understanding of other supporting applications
  • Extensive knowledge from a GMP setup
  • Instrumentation knowledge is an advantage
    • About the Department You will join the automation team with 10 skilled and very committed colleagues, growing into 20 during 2023, organisational placed in Manufacturing IT operating in 25K to support BRD API production where we partner with production. Biotech & Rare Disease (BRD) is part of Novo Nordisk Product Supply, which is a global production network at the forefront of technology and in quality production of pharmaceutical products. In BRD we are not only supplying all Novo Nordisk products for Rare Diseases, but also using our competences in Biotech to support the growing efforts into completely new production platforms and therapy areas for Novo Nordisk.
