Are you interested in working with biological analysis and optimization, tackling complex problems in an ambitious GMP environment? Do you have a passion for advancing analytical methods for Novo Nordisk Biotech and Rare Disease (BRD) new products? Would you like to drive our laboratory towards a future state with paperless, digital, and automated processes? If so, you may be the perfect fit for our Chemist position in the BRD QC Hillerød department. The position As a Chemist in our team, you will be responsible for analyzing samples using various methods and equipment, such as ELISA, SPR, CE-SDS, iCIEF, or Breakaway glide force, among others. You will also work with liquid handling robots to automate and optimize our analytical methods.
  • Optimization and problem-solving using LEAN principles are key aspects of the job.
  • Approving and releasing analytical results, preparing analytical instructions, reports, deviations, and change requests.
  • Contributing to ongoing optimization of existing processes.
  • Being curious about how other teams and departments work, both within and outside Novo Nordisk.
  • Ensuring successful implementation of new and innovative solutions.
    • In addition, we are on a journey of digitalizing our QC laboratories by introducing automated processes and connecting laboratory equipment to LIMS. You are expected to contribute to this journey by being curious about new and innovative solutions and ensuring successful implementation. Qualifications:
  • PhD or MSc degree in Engineering, Pharmacy, Natural Sciences, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of GMP principles and structured work approach.
  • Natural curiosity, ability to tackle new problems, and work independently or collaboratively.
  • Strong communication skills in both spoken and written English.
  • Prior experience in QC function (preferred, but not required).

You possess excellent communication skills and can naturally establish relationships across teams and departments. Additionally, you have a keen attention to detail and prioritize quality in your work. About the department BRD QC Hillerød is responsible for the analytical methods for BRD's new products, including in-process samples, active pharmaceutical ingredients (API), drug products, and stability samples. Currently, we are generating results for 4 products, with one product in phase 2, two products in phase 3, and one newly marketed product. The department consists of approximately 60 dedicated employees organized into 4 teams: Two HPLC teams and two biological teams. We are currently seeking 4 chemists to biological teams.
