About the department New Product Introduction (NPI) is part of Novo Nordisk Device & Manufacturing Development (DMD). DMD is the link between Device & Delivery Solutions (Device R&D) and production, being responsible for all development activities related to manufacturing of devices and delivery systems across Product Supply (PS). You will be anchored in NPI working alongside 15 other dedicated Project Managers, with the responsibility of bringing the expanding portfolio of new devices & delivery systems into production. In NPI we engage early in development projects in Device & Delivery Solutions to ensure robustness and manufacturability and management of all production related activities until launch. The position As Project Manager or Senior Project Manager, you will be part of one or more device development projects and lead the NPI project team from development to production or from phase 3 clinical production to launch production of the new device. You will be the point of entry for device production for your projects, meaning that you will be the one bringing all needed arears in play to ensure preparation of production. This includes securing design control, robustness and manufacturability (Design for Manufacturing / Design For Assembly) of new devices together with the various experts. As well as ensuring project deliverables are executed according to the schedule and budget. The entire project is based on a cross-organisational cooperation, and you will lead the device production part ensuring that key stakeholders (device development, production, commercial, quality, and regulations for example) are aligned and work towards the common goal. Your main tasks will be:
  • Overall management of project activities with Device & Delivery Solutions’ Programme Manager and PS Drug Project Manager
  • Create an engaging high performing project team by providing clear goals and purpose
  • Identify and plan project activities related to bringing a new device into finished production
  • Create plans and drive performance by monitoring progress, aligning priorities, removing roadblocks, and escalating
  • To act as the voice of production in development projects in order to optimise scalability and high operating efficiency
  • Continuously improve the way projects are executed by challenging the status quo, identifying process gaps, and ensuring solutions are pursued.
    • You can look forward to an exciting job leading projects and engaging with and creating consensus among multiple stakeholders at global and local level. Qualifications To be considered for this position, we expect you to have:
  • A Master Degree in Engineering or any other relevant field,
  • At least 5 years of project management experience in product development, product maintenance, or similar; obtained within a production setting, a development, organisation, or within a highly regulated environments e.g. pharmaceutical industry, aviation, or automotive, and
  • A proficiency in both oral and written English.
    • It would be considered as an advantage if you have a previous experience managing large projects or programmes. As a person you have a “can do” attitude, a healthy common sense, and a good sense of humour to your work – even when the pressure is on. You are able to analyse and understand complex structures and systems and can communicate them in a comprehensible way.
