Needle Manufacturing & Sourcing (NMS) is a Novo Nordisk A/S production site that employs around 400 people. NMS is overall responsible for the global supply, quality performance and product maintenance of all Novo Nordisk’s pen needles. NMS manages an end-to-end supply chain for needles from raw materials purchase over in-house or contract manufacturing of finished pen needles to affiliate stock replenishment. In recent years, needle packs have been included in the sales package of Novo Nordisk’s most important products, which makes reliable supply of high-quality needle packs to other production sites in Novo Nordisk critical. The expected growth of Novo Nordisk’s new drug products is thus driving the need for more needle packs and a strong focus on productivity gains and stable processes in all parts of the supply chain. NMS QC, Training & Facility Management is a newly established department consisting of three teams headed up by 3 associate managers and a quality partner. The total number of employees in the department is currently 54 people, with a diverse range of educational backgrounds and job functions such as operators, skilled workers, professionals and apprentices. The site’s occupational health & safety partner and environmental partner is part of the department. Working at Novo Nordisk
