The Position We are looking for a colleague to join our Environmental monitoring (EM) team! We are responsible for controlled and classified production areas - a job that takes place in a dynamic work environment in the world largest insulin factory. You will play a key role in leading initiatives to drive EM process improvements within PS API, leading systematic problem solving and be involved in exciting projects. We are currently working on several optimization and compliance projects, and we wish for more automated solutions which opens up a number of exciting possibilities. Your main responsibilities will be:
• Drive and contribute to optimization of our process in close collaboration with the other departments in the factory.
• Being creative and challenge status quo.
• Support our production and operators regarding challenges in their daily work
• Control and correct any trends in the internal environment, including preparation of trend reports.
• Handling deviations and taking responsibility to ensure ongoing updating of instructions and procedures so they fulfil current Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements and following established manufacturing procedures.
• Making sure we can release our product timely.
• Handling change requests for both minor and major process or building changes.
• Participation in specialist groups across the organization is an opportunity. Qualifications To be considered for this position you have: • An academic degree in Natural Science, engineering or similar. Microbiology is a strong advantage.
• Working proficiency in English and understands Danish on a basic level.
• As the position is very interdisciplinary, there are several areas of knowledge that will be considered an advantage if you have extensive experience within: Cleanrooms, HVAC systems, Engineering or Validation.
Your natural curiosity will be crucial to your success, as will your skills in coordinating and collaborating efficiently throughout the organization. You have a solid understanding of microbiology, engineering or relevant process knowledge and it comes naturally for you to set direction in your daily work.

About the Department In our facility we produce insulin and GLP-1 to help people living with chronical diseases like diabetes and obesity. We always have many exciting projects across Novo Nordisk - some require entirely new setups to utilise the opportunities in contemporary technology, while other are more focused on optimising existing setups.
Insulin Manufacturing 1 (IM1) in Kalundborg is the world’s largest insulin factory. We produce the active ingredients which are the main component in many of Novo Nordisk’s products including our new oral product for which we have high expectations. IM1 is unique as we have the entire production chain gather under 1 roof.
The EM team, that you would be part of, consists of supporters with technical as well as academic backgrounds and is a part of the QC department. We work in close collaboration with the production teams, maintenance department and of course our QA department. We are responsible for the internal environment across the entire facility. The team is characterized by the high level of quality in their work, but also the strong commitment and cooperation.
