Our Manufacturing Development department is unique as it covers Analytical Development, Process Development and Raw Materials. Our scientists are either responsible for 1-2 products or cover all products across our portfolio. The Development Team is responsible for development of new products and Life Cycle Management and optimization of existing products.Your main responsibilities will include:Setting the direction for the team ensuring that the prioritisations and strategies are executed so the team can keep the overview and always prioritise deliverables Being part of setting the strategy and the direction for the team, together with the rest of the management team Being responsible for the development of the employees and team, to ensure we can improve the way we work; as well as ensure psychological safety in the team
The position has a high stakeholder collaboration across the organisation and you can expect to work closely with Research, Production, QC, QA and CMOs and improve the way we work both internally and cross-functionally.QualificationsYou will be a great asset to our team because you have:A solid leadership experience from a pharmaceutical company within manufacturing development / manufacturing science and technology (MSAT) or CMC Experience of leading employees of different levels of seniority Experience navigating a complex and cross functional stakeholder landscape Professional proficiency in English and a relevant academic degree related to Life Science, such as Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmacy or similar

Most importantly, you take great pride in developing your team and you do so by coaching, working with the culture and implementing a best practice toolbox.About the departmentThe Manufacturing Development department in R&D Novo Nordisk Pharmatech A/S consists of 25 dedicated employees split into three teams. You will become Manager of the Development team consisting of 11 Full-time employees and 2 interns/student assistents. We are a part of R&D that in total consists of 40 employees.We work in close collaboration with our customers to develop optimal purification solutions for new and existing molecules used for the treatment of many different conditions as well as process enzymes crucial for bioprocessing of established and upcoming therapeutic modalities.
