The position
As an Associate Manager in PPV (Purification Plant 5) your primary role will be to lead employees in your team and set direction. You will manage your team based on respect and humility and have a strong focus on their personal development. Moreover, you will support your employees through sparring and decision-making, prioritization and removal of roadblocks. Additionally, you will ensure that the right competencies are available, and developed and you will hire more employees according to the needs defined in the ramp-up plans for the upcoming facility.
Collaboration internally with other line managers, project managers, and employees in other parts of the project organization is an essential part of your job.
The team
The new facility is currently being designed by your team and other teams in the PPV organization. Some sections are already under construction and soon process equipment will be tested. The team composition consists of several different processes that all have the purpose to get us ready to operate the new facility and support the operations. Currently, the team consists of employees covering process scientists, engineers, and technicians and the team size is expected to grow over the years.
Qualifications To succeed in this position, you have:
• A relevant academic degree e.g., in Engineering or Technical background. Ideally you worked within the medical and/or pharma industry and have a solid understanding of GMP.
• At least 3 years of management experience e.g., from manufacturing or other relevant areas
• Strong people management skills and you lead through respect and humility. As a leader, you have a strong focus on ensuring an ongoing dialogue with your employees to drive performance and development of the individual and the organization. You thrive in a busy and changing environment and have a strong ability to establish a common overview for your team and tasks. Your natural curiosity will be crucial to your success, as will your skills in coordinating and collaborating efficiently throughout the organization. You have a solid understanding of microbiology, engineering or relevant process knowledge and it comes naturally for you to set direction in your daily work. As a person, you are motivated by working in a dynamic and developing environment, where there is a constant focus on improving. You have a constructive approach to problem-solving and focus on finding sustainable solutions together with your colleagues.
About the Department
We are currently building a new factory and our department will continue to expand over the coming years as we go from the project phase to production.
