This is a super exciting role in our Governance and Compliance team. You will assist in providing compliance advice and supporting the Compliance regional team on the implementation and monitoring of Maersk´s Compliance Program which includes Anti-Corruption, Sanctions & Export Controls. You will also support the regional Compliance team with the roll-out of compliance initiatives and assist in establishing and maintaining an integrity culture across the organisation focusing on Europe.

Key Responsibilities
As a regional Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting the regional Compliance team and providing guidance and advice in routine compliance-related inquiries by working with internal stakeholders regarding compliance obligations and best practices in the region. In addition, you will also be accountable for monitoring international regulatory changes and communicating relevant updates with regional teams and stakeholders.
Other key tasks
- Assist to develop solutions to match business and compliance needs
- Establish and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders
- Support the regional Compliance team in the implementation and maintenance of clear standards of business and ethical conduct (Compliance framework) consistent with Maersk Values and Commit rules
- Collaborate and assist in the implementation of compliance activities and projects (e.g. conduct integrity and compliance background checks & screenings for third party due diligence)
- Promote the effectiveness of the compliance program in the region
- Support the Maersk Compliance team with audit requests
- Support transaction testing and sports check implementation in the region
- Assist the regional team with any other ad-hoc tasks/projects
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree, or a degree in business administration, economics, management or law or an equivalent. You have excellent written and verbal skills in English and have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Compliance related fields and knowledge of anti-corruption ((e.g. FCPA, UK Bribery Act) and sanctions compliance regulations

- Legal qualifications or experience or related discipline will be an advantage
- Have experience in assisting in the implementation and maintenance of a Compliance Programme for corruption prevention, sanctions and export controls
- Have experience in conducting integrity due diligence, training and investigations
- Have excellent intercultural, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Have project coordinator and stakeholder management experience
- Are highly motivated and detail-oriented with great organizational skills
- Possess professional report writing and presentation skills.

The primary location of this role is based in Copenhagen or the Hague.
