The position As Strategy & Innovation Manager, you will work closely with the AIA Leadership team and senior stakeholders to identify project opportunities across Development, initiate and structure projects as per AIA governance framework and track value generation. This role also leads strategic initiative/task under the guidance of the AI Delivery and Strategy Director. Your main responsibilities include:
  • Identify opportunities for AIA to bring value and generate impact within Development
  • Manage the initiation and set up of projects as per AIA processes and governance
  • Lead the early innovation/project initiation portfolio with focus on value prioritization
  • Work closely with project teams to define initial KPIs and track value generation
  • Collaborate with internal teams in and outside development to generate and drive innovation idea
  • Lead strategic data science initiatives
    • You will report to the Director of AI Delivery and Strategy. Internal partners include data scientists, biostatisticians, engineers, Global Program Team, senior stakeholders outside AIA and others across US and Denmark. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you need to have either Master’s degree within biology, mathematics, engineering, physics or related quantitative discipline combined with 5+ years of experience or PhD combined with 3+ years of experience. PhD/MBA preferred. Additionally, you need to have:
  • Hands-on experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, regulated medical device development or in another regulated field
  • Knowledge within Innovation team and early-stage projects
  • Experience in managing complex stakeholder landscape
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
    • As a person, you are structured in problem-solving approach and demonstrate strong attention to detail. You have excellent communication skills and ability to navigate complex organization. Furthermore, you are capable of setting priorities and can manage them in a timely manner. About the department The Strategy & Innovation Manager is part of the AI Delivery and Strategy team within the AI & Analytics department. AIA applies sophisticated algorithms and machine learning techniques to some of the hardest problems in the discovery and development of new healthcare solutions. By leveraging a blend of scientific, problem-solving, and quantitative skills, we provide superior data insights that empower Novo Nordisk to further develop and deliver life-changing treatments. We work in multidisciplinary teams with strong collaboration across all areas of the organization and engage in external collaborations to ensure access to cutting edge research and technology.
