Let’s talk about the role As our new People Leader, you will be developing our Scrum Masters, support the agile transformation by coaching the employees, ensuring the long-term strategic competence needs of the area and support the development and growth of the individual career paths. You will be part of the continuous development of some of the bigger digital programs in R&ED, shaping the agile delivery method and thereby directly influence how they will deliver value to R&ED including the support of the digitalization journey. In the role as People Leader in an agile context, your key responsibilities will include: Support attraction, onboarding and hiring - building Agile, personal and professional competencies globally Ensure people development and motivation including coaching & mentoring Be responsible for reward- and performance management and facilitate cross-organizational knowledge sharing Manage department budgeting and support transformation initiatives Build close collaboration with stakeholders and Agile teams, and managing expectations to ensure flow Supervise the projects that Scrum Masters are driving and responsible at events, such as PI planning, System Demo etc. Oversee Scrum Master competencies across our Research & Early Development site in Asia, Europe & US As a People Leader you will report to head of Sites and Agile Execution Vice President in Data, Digital & IT (DD&IT) R&ED and work closely with stakeholders across the organization. Expected skills For this position, we hope to get a candidate on board who can tick off most of the following requirements: Master’s degree within science or equivalent in a relevant field e.g. Engineering, Natural Science or Computer Science At least 5 years of experience in an IT delivery role e.g. Scrum Master, Agile coach, Product Owner or similar SAFe certification and/or have practical experience of using Agile methodologies Advanced knowledge and coaching skills on how to continuously evolve an organizational agile mindset Experience from IT implementation projects levering one or several methodologies like agile or waterfall Fluent written and spoken English Previous line manager experience and insight into or curiosity for drug discovery processes would be an advantage On a personal level you have an inclusive mindset, you seek understanding and respect diversity. The team waiting for you DD&IT R&ED is anchored within the Data, Digital & IT (DD&IT) organization and has approximately 150 employees based in India, Denmark, UK & US. The strategic objective of the unit is to partner globally with R&ED to achieve its scientific aspirations. Whether this is on programme level, on project- or team level. Our Scrum Masters play a significant role in our delivery and execution, as cultural ambassadors and as servant leaders in the delivery teams where the tangible value is provided. In 2024 we expect our Scrum Master practice to grow beyond what our existing department can contain. That is why we have decided to create a new strong department. Your future department will therefore be a spin-off of our existing unit that you will develop and strengthen during 2024. Your talented Scrum Masters lead delivery teams across the value chain of R&ED.
