The position You will contribute with analytical and advanced programming skills to a team of data scientists that, together with epidemiologists and stakeholders from across the organisation, create actionable evidence from real world data in rare disease. Our data comes from digital health initiatives through partnerships with medical technology companies, in-licensed databases of electronic medical records or health insurance claims, observational studies, and many other sources. Your main responsibilities will be: Assess data quality. Apply state-of-the art methods within statistical analysis, programming, and visualisation to generate insights and knowledge from our large and diverse data sources. Participate in designing, planning, developing, and documenting studies to make informed decisions based on data. Write, document, and maintain code in R, Python and SQL to transform, standardise and aggregate data to create analysis-ready data sets from large amounts of raw data. Evaluate data quality of potential new data sets. Qualifications Requirements: Master’s degree in Life sciences e.g. Biostatistics, Engineer, Public Health, and Data Science. Experience with managing, analysing, documenting, and programming comprehensive real-world data in R. Expertise in classical statistical methods such as regression analyses and survival analyses (including competing risk). Quickly understand stakeholder needs and translate those into solutions and results through programming and analyses. Fluent communication in English, both orally and in writing. Additional preferred qualifications: Experience from pharmaceutical industry, consultancy, or a medical/biological area. Strong programming skills and experience with transforming data by writing advanced, well-performing and maintainable code. Strong Epidemiological knowledge. Experience with real world data (RWD), medical records or health insurance claims. Experience within the field of rare diseases and small populations. You enjoy responsibility and complete your assignments proactively and within timelines. About the department In Development, we are responsible for managing clinical drug development worldwide from early development phases to product launch and beyond. We provide medical and scientific documentation for clinical submissions and authorities while ensuring that the process lives up to global standards, regulations, and business ethics. The department of Real-World Science is part of Data Science in Development and primarily located in Søborg, Denmark. The department focus on insights and causal relationships from real world data (RWD) through advanced statistical methods. We analyse many different data sources to generate evidence to support clinical drug development projects and launched products.
