Corporate Procurement is responsible for the indirect spend in Novo Nordisk and for defining and driving the global procurement strategy. Corporate Procurement consists of more than 140 employees based in Denmark and India, and globally 400 people work in procurement. The Position The Research & Development Procurement team is an organisation supporting Global Procurement activities across the R&D value chain As a Senior Category Manager in Corporate Procurement Research & Development, your primary responsibilities is to source, negotiate and optimise costs for clinical studies that are outsourced to CROs. This includes working closely with clinical outsourcing teams to define business requirements, evaluate, negotiate and select CROs. Other responsibilities and tasks for this versatile position are: Leading and supporting sourcing and business development projects within indirect categories for R&D spend categories.
Working with development and implementation of sourcing/category strategies for R&D and conduct relevant change management activities to ensure that your results are anchored in the organisation.
Responsible for managing the needs and expectations of the Business to drive satisfaction while ensuring compliance to procurement standards and alignment with procurement strategies.
Working closely with key stakeholders on identifying cost out opportunities in our global organisation as well as drive procurement best practice, category management and negotiations.
Managing the sourcing process and drive large supplier contract negotiations in collaboration with R&D stakeholders at all levels.
You will work closely together with your colleagues in the R&D procurement team as well as drive procurement best practice, category management and negotiations. Furthermore, you will be exposed to different organisational areas throughout R&D and beyond, and the job offers frequent interactions as well as presentations to senior management. You will work in a high pace environment and be part of a dynamic and highly collaborative team
Qualifications
The right candidate is looking for the next step in their career within procurement and is motivated by developing and driving new high potential sourcing projects.
We expect you to have completed a Master's Degree in, business administration, finance, supply chain management or similar. Furthermore: At least 3 years of experience where your responsibilities were a.o. stakeholder management, drive procurement best practice, sourcing processes, identifying needs and contract negotiation. Experience in the Clinical outsourcing areas (e.g. pharmaceutical industry, CRO industry, etc.) is strongly preferred. You are self-driven and can create results by motivating customers, colleagues and project teams.
You have great stakeholder management skills and can drive change management in a diverse customer landscape using your leadership skills to influence and impact key stakeholders.
You are analytically strong and have an international mind-set, probably from working in a global organisation.
We expect you to be curious and have an interest in understanding the value chain in a large organisation. Finally, you have excellent communication and presentation skills and you are used to having senior and top management as your key stakeholders.
