The Position
Our Product Supply division is expanding globally across API production and product filling, and the process aids category plays a fundamental role in driving robust expansion plans. While supporting the global growth we must ensure that we do this in a way that fulfill the needs of an increasingly demanding regulatory environment, as well as needs to create sustainable business models. As Senior Category Manager for the process aids category, you will be responsible for developing category strategies, driving sourcing activities, and finalizing contracts. You will collaborate with our global external partners and together with the global Novo Nordisk teams secure that we deliver on all ambitions related to process aids and single use systems. The job entails that you: Work customer orientated – actively interact with relevant parts of the organisation (our customers), understand the business needs and translate our customer’s strategy and ambitions into solutions taking a wide range of sourcing criteria into account, e.g. sustainability, costs, timelines, technology, robustness, risks, responsible sourcing, etc. Develop category strategies, identify trends and dynamics and ensure that relevant sourcing opportunities and risks are identified and acted upon. Ensure that category fundamentals, such as contracting, and supplier collaboration structures and risk assessments are all managed timely and according to internal procedures. Thrive with stakeholder management and understand the complexity of working in a large and global organisation. You will be working with suppliers and networks both in and outside Europe, hence you should expect 10 to 20 days of travel activities per year. This position holds ample opportunities for personal and professional development and will quickly establish you as the go-to person within your area. Qualifications To be considered for this position, we expect you to: Hold a master’s degree or equivalent in supply chain, business, engineering or any other relevant field Have a significant experience within procurement or strategic sourcing from a large international organization Possess some knowledge in the area of process aids, single use systems and/or bioprocessing Be fluent in both spoken and written English. As a person, you have a strategic mind-set and an ability to quickly understand different business models and the supply chain and industry dynamics within process aids and single use systems. Preferably, you have a keen interest and understanding of bioprocessing. You can put strategy into action by breaking the bigger picture down into sourcing related decisions. Additionally, you are a skilled project manager, with strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of numbers. Lastly, you enjoy working in a multicultural and high-pace environment and bring a ‘can-do attitude’, and a healthy sense of humor to your work also when under pressure. About the department
Strategic Sourcing is the central sourcing unit in Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply division. We are responsible for securing that we have suppliers in place that can support Novo Nordisk’s worldwide pharmaceutical production. Through collaboration with our international supplier networks, we ensure availability of the supply needed to develop and produce products that helps millions of people around the world to live with chronical diseases. Joining our team, you will be surrounded by several experienced Category Managers, allowing you to continue your development within the sourcing domain.
