The Position This position gives you a unique opportunity for personal and professional development and further building on your career as an IT Infrastructure Associate Category Manager. You will be coached by fellow procurement colleagues, participate in our Global Procurement Academy and Global Procurement Network Programme. As an IT Infrastructure Associate Category Manager your main responsibilities will be to:
  • Support and drive sourcing projects – from ideation, scoping, e-sourcing, negotiation, to contract negotiation and implementation.
  • Support development and implementation of category strategies for IT Infrastructure products and services that align with overall direction and objectives.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their IT Infrastructure needs and ensure that their requirements are being met.
  • Support and manage supplier relationship management activities, including supplier segmentation and strategy development and execution of planned activities.
  • Business development - engage with users in the business to develop and quantify ideas for new projects, substitution, or value-adding activities that generate benefits and savings to the organisation.
  • Take a proactive role in the continuous development of the department and the team.
  • Qualifications You possess great project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience working in a large organisation is not a must but will be considered an advantage e.g., as an intern and preferably within procurement or in an IT department. The ideal candidate could have:
  • Bachelor or master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Law, or a related field
  • Project management skills and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Presentation and communication skills with the ability to work well with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Preferably knowledge of IT Infrastructure products and services, including servers, storage, networking, and software.
  • On a personal level, you present a “can-do” approach and results-oriented attitude, which enables you to establish strong professional relations internally and externally. You are a Team player and enjoy being part of a global work environment. You have the ability to communicate complex issues in an easy-to-understand manner and to proactively manage numerous and changing priorities effectively. You can work independently as well as in a team environment. Most importantly, you are flexible, eager to take up new tasks and projects About the department Corporate Procurement is responsible for the indirect spend in Novo Nordisk and for defining and driving the global procurement strategy. Corporate Procurement consists of 150 employees based in Denmark and India (globally 500 people) and is responsible for the indirect spend in Novo Nordisk and for defining and driving the global procurement strategy.
