The position This is a unique position, supporting the whole organisation with expertise in Category Management. You can look forward to defining and driving the company’s procurement agenda and ensuring that local purchasers in various departments adhere to our systems and policies. In addition, you will also act as a lead negotiator, taking care of current and new strategic suppliers. You will be: The expert in our procurement processes (Source to contract, Purchase to pay, supplier management) Creating and driving the indirect procurement agenda; coming up with improvements and suggestions for savings Establishing and executing on category management Coaching, steering, and guiding different stakeholders across the company Handling complex negotiations, setting directions for contract management and representing the company’s interest towards external suppliers. In this role, you will also be the champion of our IT Purchasing and contracting system, Coupa. Qualifications We imagine that a successful candidate will have: A master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field, e.g. supply chain, business, sales or engineering At least 5 years of experience within strategic sourcing from a large international organization, preferably from the pharmaceutical industry A high level of negotiation skills; contract negotiations experience is a strong requirement Strategic and analytical mindset with a flair for IT To further succeed in this role, it would be important that you are experienced in setting direction, and that you enjoy strategic and analytical thinking. You like to be the go-to person and you can easily help on several fronts at the same time. As you will be working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Danish. About the department The Supply chain and Procurement team is part of Business Support at Novo Nordisk Pharmatech A/S. You will be joining 10 colleagues responsible for direct procurement sourcing, planning, and strategic indirect procurement.
