About the department You will join Strategic Finance, a team of 5 employees within Business Finance, reflecting Novo Nordisk’s increased focus on external business development opportunities as well as the need to drive broader strategic resource allocation discussions and financial decision support to Senior and Executive Management. Strategic Finance works closely together with our Corporate Development organisation in developing and maturing the financial and commercial evaluations of various opportunities covering e.g. in-licensing, commercial collaborations and alliances and M&A. Focus is additionally on supporting senior stakeholders with in-depth financial analysis and clear recommendations on major strategic decisions in Novo Nordisk.
You will further take responsibility for the Global Finance Graduate programme. The programme has a strong track record for developing future finance leaders, and currently 9 graduates are enrolled in the two-year programme, where they are rotating across the global finance organisation.

The position As a Finance Partner you will be responsible for driving and preparing parts of the financial valuation and analysis process on selected business development projects. You will secure involvement and collaboration with functional specialist areas within the Finance organisation and with Corporate Development and will act as point-of-entry to senior stakeholders. You will additionally provide input, challenge or take lead on a range of strategic projects or financial projects, e.g. involving Therapy Area strategies or business cases of strategic importance. As the role requires you to have a very strong business understanding, you preferably have insights into the pharmaceutical value chain, and you are expected to invest significant amount of time in getting a deep understanding of the Novo Nordisk value chain and the external environment we are operating within. Since you will be working independently in engagements with senior stakeholders across the organization, we expect you to have a flair for driving projects and processes autonomously involving several cross-functional stakeholders.
As a Manager for the Global Finance Graduate programme you will ensure the promotion and development of the programme to attract strong candidates. You will further support the current graduates in their development through relevant sparring and training and you are expected to drive a strong community where there is room for both professional development and informal social activities.
Qualifications To thrive and succeed, we expect you to have: Master’s degree within business or economics 3-6 years of experience in financial planning or consultancy Solid financial understanding and great analytical skills allowing you to perform financial valuation analysis and to collaborate with colleagues in Finance and across line of business Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate with large groups and senior stakeholders Curiosity to learn about the pharmaceutical value chain as you will invest significant amount of time in getting a deep understanding of the Novo Nordisk value chain and the external environment we are operating within On a personal level, you are proactive and have a flair for driving projects and processes autonomously with several cross-functional stakeholders. You further have the ability to engage, motivate and support others in their development.
