Head of Development, Copenhagen
As our long-time Head of Development has been offered a new role within our group, we are looking for a new leader to join our team in Copenhagen.
group.ONE is a company on a tremendous growth journey, having doubled in size in the past three years, and just a few months ago announced a merger with dogado.group. A merger that will take the company to the next level as a force in the European hosting market. This leaves space for growth and influence within the position, as much is still being shaped to ensure scalability and stability. Being able to navigate change, promote it, and hold on to a vision throughout this is essential to the role, and the right candidate will thrive with this.
Responsibilities & tasks
You will report to our Vice President of Group Product Development, where you will be responsible for a team consisting of 26 developers and testers in four teams.
Your department carries key platform responsibility - the heart of serving our products that more than a million customers use. We are on a mission to continue to grow organically and inorganically. We, therefore, need a leader who can bring change with them and ensure proper growth, support, and scalability to the department and its people.

Your responsibilities are, but are not limited to:
- Oversee, mentor, and coach your team to ensure a work environment that is respectful, challenging, and rewarding while helping employees to reach their potential
- Be the owner of and continuously improve our Kanban processes, methods, and tools
- Develop and ensure the skills and staffing requirements of your department
- Own and set the strategy for execution and drive change within your department in alignment with the rest of the group-wide Product Development function
- Actively manage stakeholders across the entire organization as a representative of Development Copenhagen
- Responsible for product roadmap deliveries, representing sourcing and timelines

Who are you professionally?
- Minimum five years of people responsibility preferably within software development
- A bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or other relevant degrees, or equivalent experience
- Proven track record within a leadership role, having had line management where you have successfully motivated, engaged, and developed your team members
- Experience with agile development methodologies (ours is Kanban!)
- Experience with resource and budget management
- Experience with stakeholder management across business units
