The role is influential

Matas Group is seeking an experienced and visionary leader for the Head of Shared Services a new role within Group Finance. This is an exceptional opportunity to set direction and structure for the Shared Services Center (SSC), where you will be responsible for elevating service deliveries and creating expertise in transactional processes and knowledge-driven tasks. As the Head of Shared Services, you’ll manage the control of transactional service deliveries and knowledge-centric services within dedicated Centers of Excellence (CoE) with an initial team of 20+ FTEs. You will be the architect of transforming their support services to meet world-class standards. Your task is also to shape a vision and strategy that guides Matas Group into a future of optimized processes and the proper use of technology. You will be the key to translating the vision into operational and practical reality.

The direct reporting line will be to the Head of Group Finance.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Your role involves developing the SSC strategy and roadmap in collaboration with the Head of Group Finance. You will decide on SSC’s partnerships, and operations. As the Head of Shared Services at Matas Group, you will design and build the SSC, leading the development and supporting the strategy. You’ll also be responsible for establishing service delivery centres, Centers of Excellence, and the Global Process Ownership layer.

Additionally,

Your role includes leading transformation activities, establishing monitoring mechanisms, and ensuring service delivery. You will supervise strategic partnerships with key customers and vendors and be responsible for performance management in SSC. As the highest escalation point, you’ll handle service, customer, and vendor inquiries, ensuring all work follows Matas Group’s guidelines and requirements. Your role is crucial for leading an effective and high-performing SSC transformation.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in economics/business development or similar.
  • Minimum 5 years of solid experience in SSC organizations.
  • Over 10 years of leadership experience in the service sector.
  • Experience in retail, fashion, or FMCG industries preferred.
  • Strong transformation background in multiple Nordic/global organizations.
  • Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Experience in budget, cost, and performance management.
